As I understand it, Turnbull has his heart set on moving down South

Unlike others who are just from Motherwell area but grew up supporting Celtic (Hastie, Cadden....) Turnbull genuinely is a Motherwell fan.

Obviously money talks, and anyone would have taken the contract Rangers have given Jake Hastie, but I can’t see Celtic being the best offer on the table for Motherwell or David Turnbull.

He’s scored as many league goals as Edouard from Midfield (in less games and for a weaker team) and only 3 short of £20 million rated Morelos.

Apparently Brighton are interested in him too, so that means there's competition for his signature already.

Excellent news if true. Sounds like he's got his head screwed on and wants to improve himself rather than settle for mickey mouse.

It would be better in my opinion for Turnbull to spend at least one more full season at Motherwell.

If an English club were to buy him over the next couple of months but only view him as a "prospect" rather than a first team player then they should immediately loan him back to Motherwell for the whole of next season.

Fingers crossed he's doesn't become a Celtic or a Rangers player by the beginning of September. That would be depressing.

Nothing depressing about signing for the Sons of William

Hopefully you get a realistic fee for the player then, and he doesnt throw his toys out the pram to move to Glasgow.

£1.2 million for Turnbull and £1.5 million for McGinn, Celtic are a shower of cunts.

And they only offered about £1,500,000 for McKenna just last year too.

It is good to see that other Scottish clubs are now more willing to stand their ground and demand the Old Firm pay more for their players than they did in years gone by.

Whats the Dees thoughts on Grasser McPake getting the job ?

Not impressed to be honest.

Over 100 applications, ok 80% will be utter shite, but the final two is a part time manager from Alloa, and a guy already in the building. John Nelms, Dundees dictator is staggeringly inept IMO.

Does look a bit like the lazy/cheapest option. We’ve done it enough recently and it never ends well🙈

Charlie Adam and Alan Hutton are free agents now. Would they take the wage cut and play on for another couple of years in Scotland before retiring ?

Today's paper pish:

Barnsley winger Ryan Hedges to Aberdeen ?

Motherwell want £3,000,000 for David Turbull ? (good on them, if true)

Gary Mackay-Steven to remain at Aberdeen after all?

I see Strachan is going to be involved in an advisory role. Seems odd given how experienced Mcpake's assistant is.

Ross McCormack is now a free agent.

His decline over the last 3 seasons has been incredible.

Wikipedia seems to have been altered by a fan of his....

Ross McCormack (born 18 August 1986) is an overweight Scottish professional footballer who is a free agent, after his contract with Aston Villa was ended early due to the fact he was stealing enormous wages and contributing nothing. [4]

2016–2019 Aston Villa 20 (3)
2017  Nottingham Forest (loan) 7 (1)
2017–2018  Melbourne City (loan) 17 (14)
2018–2019  Central Coast Mariners (loan) 5 (1)
2019  FC Burger King (loan) 3

The Celtic transfer "leak" is certainly interesting.  £50M in the bank and that's the best headed paper they can afford?!

Absolutely frightening, a club run by idiots with King Idiot now in charge of first team affairs.
