northernscum
Q&A session with Neil Doncaster from the BBC. I like this bit :wink2: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30646033 "In terms of the question about old club, new club, that was settled very much by the Lord Nimmo Smith commission that was put together by the SPL to look at EBT payments at that time. "The decision, very clearly from the commission, was that the club is the same, the club continues, albeit it is owned by a new company, but the club is the same." So the official take from the SPFL is that Rangers Football Club continues, it's the same club? "Yes, it's the same club, absolutely." People have extreme views on this, so what's the difference between a club and a company? "The member club is the entity that participates in our league and we have 42 member clubs. "Those clubs may be owned by a company, sometimes it's a Private Limited Company, sometimes it's a PLC, but ultimately, the company is a legal entity in its own right, which owns a member club that participates in the league." So, once and for all, the league is putting this to bed, it's the same club? "It was put to bed by the Lord Nimmo Smith commission some while ago - it's the same club." Our wee friend Mr Doncaster has created far more questions than answered with that interview.
Debian
http://wingsoverscotland.com/the-neerday-game/ Fair enough to the guy. He likes to challenge anything that is Pro-British. He's just a guy with a website. He should stick to making computer games.
ShedTA
I laughed at Neil Doncaster and stopped at the BBC. Trustworthy and reliable my fukin ringpiece..... Doncaster is universally recognised as an idiot. Suddenly all that changes with an interview to the BBC.
ShedTA
He revealed that Mike Ashley had bought Laxeys shares the other day. Doncaster told us we would have armaggeddon. But you are happy to quote him.
AberdeenAngus
Doncaster told us we would have armaggeddon. But you are happy to quote him. Its beyond parody. Slate and blame the SFA, SFPL, SPL, BBC etc for their predicament but quote them when it suits a particular viewpoint. I would imagine there will be a few calls between club chairmen today discussing Doncaster's comments.

Cant see any anti british theme in his post but he does challenge the pile of shite that doncaster came out with, pretty successfully if you bothered to read it. ShedTA
....More importantly BDO. Well exactly. They have already slapped down rangers recently, now the boy heading up the game is at it.
macy37
He is a asshole and talks so much pish in that interview. I like this bit...... "Clubs are making real efforts in terms of pricing. The average cost of a family of four to attend any game in Scotland is less than £50 and that's real value however you look at it.
northernscum
Why did the interviewer allow him to just ramble on without picking him up on any of the bollocks he was spouting? Giving him enough rope to hang himself? Or just plain incompetence?
Fairbairn
According to Scotzine... - MacLeod sold for 850,000 pounds - all money goes to Ashley as a condition on previous loan - Bees pay half upfront (the rest over 18 months in 3 instalments) - sell on clause agreed http://www.scotzine.com/2014/12/brentford-sign-rangers-midfielder-lewis-macleod-for-850k/? Ah yes, as revealed by Phil about a month ago. But then his revelations are always well wide of the mark This would suggest the money is being used for working capital and not to pay back loans. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30655478

beardy
Yes, yes, the important point about the statement to the stock exchange about selling a player is that Phil Macgoillabhain was wrong. Nothing weird about a club selling a player and announcing it to the LSE. Has a club ever done that before. It's a desperate statement, still Phil was wrong. Pool Q
No idea who 'Phil' is but judging by how he's got the chins wobbling amongst some of the Rangers support he must be pretty high up on The List.

vanderark14
Doncaster should have been sacked months ago, it's astonishing that he's still in his role after his Armageddon quotes and this latest interview is beyond laughable. Even after all that's happened since Rangers died he still pines for a league dominated by only two clubs. Is that even interested in the fact that there's only five points between the top four at new year?
Debian
Doncaster is a walloper but the Rangers part he states is a legally binding fact. It seems the masses are up in arms over this.
