bossman4
No shocks really. R. Martin not been in any Norwich squad since the 26th August, at least Grant Hanley has been involved, some what sparingly. Dont expect it to change from Mulrgrew/Berra. Naismith the same as well. Our lack of options at right back with Patterson still out probably why Anya still there.
Dalgety Bay TA
No surprises. Didn't expect many at this stage of campaign. Probably doesn't help having what would be our 2nd and 3rd choice keepers at same club now.
PASTA Mick
No point making too many changes at this point. McGregor is the most unlucky not to be called up because he is better than Bannan and can contribute to the 'Celtic effect' that has turned things around for Strachan. ceudmilefailte
Would sooner have Ralston in over Whittaker or Anya for experience sake and as for Mcgregor and Marshall in the squad ahead of Archer that's the same sort of mistake we have been guilty of for decades. We dont need three experienced players in every position.
JECK
Was kind of indifferent towards McGregor being called up but the more I think about it you don't how both games are going to pan out and we may need someone to provide something late on - who else would you rather have to do this right now ? SteveHFC
Team picks itself from that squad.
macy37
Only surprise is that the young lad who is going to be the best centre half Scotland have seen isn't included. You know the lad, the one that could have prevented the two goals his team conceded at the weekend.
1ANDYP
Give the boy a chance.FFS . though not in this squad obviously Edited September 25, 2017 by 1ANDYP

A few more displays like Saturday from him & he will be getting touted for the squad, given the lack of options, justifiably so too... robbo cop
Only possible player I thought might get called up was Burke, but not too surprised he left in under 21s. Having watched the Villa v Forest game on Saturday I never realised Snodgrass was playing until about 25 minutes into the game. Sadly just not the player he can be at the moment. Burke has been injured. Only a possibility for the West Brom squad at the moment so probably the 21s was always the best he could hope for this time. He has had a lack of game time and has disappointed on his opportunities. Loads of raw talent and pace so hopefully he can play his way into the West Brom team this season. Boy has played a game and a half and looks like he has a bit of potential and you want to tear him down already. Strange comment to bring it up on a tartan army forum as well. Malcolm
We have poor centre half options but he is nowhere near ready for the Scotland squad.

Next year once Cairney's back playing and in form, Strachan really should give him a couple of starts. Very good player.

Strachan wont be the manager next year. The next manager should drop the likes of Whittaker, Anya, Chris Martin & Bannan and get some younger players in like Ralston, Burke, Cummings and also Cairney, who will be about 27 by then! And I am no Celtic fan either.
