I wouldn't want him to be. I'd want him to get forward. He plays in a middle 2 with Brown regularly. Mcginn would be the destroyer type and Cairney the creative and I would want Armstrong being almost box to box getting goals and driving us on.

I agree. We were 45 mins away from a play off place. They should have been out with fire in their hearts and running through walls for it. It was insipid. We could all see we were hanging on, fair enough we might have come through it. But he waited till we were dead and buried before changing it. Not good enough from the management.

Agree. He should have came for it and wiped everyone out. Cross was in the 6 yard box. If he's not going to come for that then why oh why are we defending that free kick with such a high line. We were asking for them to do that. That's a lack of preparation for me. If we know Gordon isn't coming for free kicks like that we should be back at the penalty spot defending the cross. At least then we would have denied the space for them to do that.

I get what your saying but while we are waiting for the seasons to pass for them to get to this level we are missing out on them gaining experience. I'll go back to Wales again, Chris Gunter at right back for them is 28 years old. He's got 82 caps! He's never played champions league but is vastly experienced at International level and never gets roasted or torn apart for them. Over the last campaign and this campaign they are reaping the benefits of having an experienced, young squad. And why? Because they stuck these young guys in and let them play.

Aye fair enough there is a massive difference. But who's to say that these boys won't be upto it against international teams if we give them a chance.

Exactly. My point is that by the time these next qualifiers come around if these guys have been playing regularly then they should be getting tested out in the friendlies to see if they are ready. Rather than us handing out caps like sweeties to Berra then all of a sudden we have to chuck someone in the deep end. Them playing regularly and gaining experience of playing internationals will bring them on. I keep bringing it up but if you look at the Welsh team just now they are all similar in age and have mountains of games between them.

There is no depth because we don't try anyone else in there. As I said Liam Lindsay should be getting a look in. Ralston at Celtic if he keeps playing. If Mccrorie at Rangers keeps getting first team games then he should be getting a look as should McKenna at Aberdeen. We need to give these guys a chance and not just suffer Berra etc again.

What about Liam Lindsay at Barnsley. Playing every week. We need to get these players used to playing at this level and hopefully it will bring them on.

We need to totally revamp our midfield. Should be built around Mcginn Cairney Armstrong and McGregor going forward. I don't want to see the others again it's pointless. We need the younger lot to get as many games as possible.

I can see a few going and I think a few should be done now. Those I could see retiring, Fletcher, Brown, possibly Gordon. Others who should go are Berra, Mulgrew, Anya, Bannan, Martin, S Fletcher, Mcarthur. Time for us to follow the lead of the Welsh about ten years ago and play the young players. Guys like Ramsey for them have about 60 caps and are mid 20s.
