Different traits will get selected for depending on enviroment. Incas are pretty recent though, Linlithgow Palace is older than Machu Picchu for example. The problem is working out how much of that is due to acclimatation to enviroment and how much is due to a specific gene which produces that phenotype. I'm way out any area of expertise though, so I'd defer to someone who knows what they are talking about.

I was more meaning that it's the mutations that cause the differences , so it's when DNA doesn't replicate properly that we get evolution. So looking at the plan , the DNA itself, doesn't always give you an idea. Also knowing how the information interacts with each strand to produce what is totally unknown atm.

To be honest biology never really did it for me so I'm pissing in the dark.

One thing I did hear on this documentary was there wasn't just homeosapians and neanderthals but two(?) other groups and that they'd found evidence of one of these in Sherpa bloodline.

I was pissed at the time though watching on YouTube so could have been the bloke off 'Alien History' for all I remember 😆

Scottish Tories conference going well then.

Sunak referred to the Scottish Parliament as the devolved assembly

Seems to have got some SNP fans up in arms yet that's what it is and what they want to put all their energy into protecting

The UK PM 'Richard Smith' (some Asian name that I can't pronounce, so I've Anglicised it) won't be using the new Welsh name for the Brecon Beacons.

I'm surprised he doesn't see the irony in that.

She's right though.

She isn't.

Freedom of speech means that you cannot be prosecuted for what you say.  There are caveats to that, you can be prosecuted for example for racist speech, you may be sued if you defame someone.   Joanna knows this.

Freedom of speech does not mean that anyone is obliged to listen to what you have to say, nor does it mean that anyone is obliged to give you a platform.  Again, Joanna knows this.

Joanna is an MP, she has a weekly column in a national newspaper and is often interviewed on TV, radio and in newspapers.  She's just been on Call Kaye.

Furthermore, it's odd that someone who self-describes as a socialist would take on workers exercising their rights to withdraw their labour and being backed up by their trades union on May Day of all days.

She's being "censored" somewhat.  As happens to everyone as in who gets access to mass communication channels.

However cause the Times won't publish my views in their newspaper or i'm not allowed to speak on BBC doesn't mean i'm being cancelled.

It's just a function of her ego and entitlement that she views herself as being cancelled when she is actually in the top tiny percentage of folk with any sort of platform to air their views.

The only good thing about this culture war stuff i one just needs to sit by the river long enough...

It is only recently that Joanna Cherry's concerns have been given prominence by the MSM so in a way she has been somewhat cancelled/shut out

You only have to look at the replies to anything that she has posted on twitter to guage how much the pro trans lobby have tried to sidetrack any debate

And that's not forgetting how the SNP have treated her

If staff at the stand don’t want to work an event she’s scheduled to appear then fair enough, not sure that side of the “issue / debate” would be happy if another venues staff did the same thing with someone on their “side” but it’s all very tedious

I would not be the least bit surprised if she quit if things carry on as they are. This sounds to me like someone who may not be that far off. I hope not as she is easily one of the most competent people in the party.

‘’One day, I hope to be in a position to tell the full story of what has gone on behind the scenes in my political party since I stood up for the rights of lesbians to be same-sex attracted and women's rights to safety, dignity and privacy."
