neilser
Daft bint that she is - if she wanted Scottish Labour to stand on its own two feet rather than being run from Westminster she should have been campaigning for a Yes vote. Scottish Labour is utterly ed - roll on the General Election... And of course the Record spectacularly fails to distinguish between news coverage and comment on the news - this is fecking laughable by any measure: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/scottish-labour-leader-johann-lamont-4501970 Edited October 24, 2014 by neilser

kumnio
Ah well, let's stoop to a new low for Labour. Just when one thinks they can't get any worse, they somehow do. McConnell Alexander Grey Lamont ?????? Without wanting to come over all UKIP, may I suggest someone fluent in English.

ErsatzThistle
Gordon Brown wants a good deal for Scotland, why not him? House of Lords in January ? How's that greasy Crichton spinning this "strategic manoeuvre" ? That's Salmond seen off four North British Labour leaders now, must be some kind of a record in British politics surely ? Toepoke
How's that greasy Crichton spinning this "strategic manoeuvre" ? Hertsscot
Torky was on Newsnight earlier have a Labour love-in with Laura Keunnnsssberg. He seems to be backing Broon for the job... Crichton's busy, he was on BBC 5 live earlier today, sees Lamont's resignation as renewal of SLAB, mentioned loads of candidates, Murphy, Brown, Sarwar etc. Also seemed to be spend quite a lot of time metioning his rag maybe in a desperate and forlorn bid to address falling sales figures. Shame the BBC presenter didn't take the opportunity to quiz him about his papers role in the Vow.
Maq
Keith Vaz was on twitter earlier congratulating Sarwar on getting the job Think he's been made 'interim leader' He's an MP rather than MSP isn't he?
Armchair Bob
I thought Labour had a rule that the Scottish 'leader' had to be an MSP? Obviously not. I wonder who will become LOLITSP? There are certainly better candidates for the job than Johann Lamont, I was surprised she was ever picked in the first place. Nichola Sturgeon will be sad not to have the opportunity of adminstering a smack down every week - I always got the impression Alex Salmond held back a bit on Johann, but that Nichola would have no qualms.
