Reports of Tory MPs being physically manhandled in to vote for the Government. Chris Bryant just claiming that Therese Coffey and Jacob Rees Mogg were involved. ger intae them
not a happy Tory, and while almost all of what he said was admirable and sounded genuine in his disgust at recent events and leaderships……. kinda ruined it when he sounded even more concerned at back bench tory mp’s going on the buroo. kumnio
This would be tremendously funny, if only they hadn't completely fucked the economy. The average person will be paying for this for decades to come, well your relatives in generations will still be paying for this. Most of these fuckers should end up in jail, or worse. This country needs a revolution.

Ally Bongo
If the British establishment web didnt encompass everything we would have had a military coup by now and the politicians would be strung up on lamp posts
Malcolm
The political system lends itself to this kind of nonsense. Could easily be another Tory leader and another…. Until GE day in a couple of years.
aaid
Apparently it was a confidence vote after all, either that or Downing Street was on the piss at half-one this morning.

The Tories best bet is to get rid off Truss asap and distance themselves from the current chaos. There is a line of thought that says the Tories could call an election and let Labour inherit the shambles that they've created and make Labour unelectable for the next 20 years but I still feel the first option is more likely. Orraloon
Apparently Liz Truss herself didn't vote last night. Does that mean she should lose the whip? This is now breaking into Kezia Dugdale levels of incompetence. Remember when she forgot to press the button? 😂
thplinth
Where it became shockingly obvious just how insane it was for the tories to topple Bojo the Clown was when all the candidates emerged to replace him... wow, what a collection of lightweight arseholes. I could not believe how poor a field it was. And that really is about the best they could muster it seems. (I have never seen the tories in such bad shape, shocking.) At that point the men in grey suits should have been hammering the brakes on and calling out "Whoah everybody, Boris!, hold-up mate! change of plan...'. This mess was so predictable yet they all went ahead with it. How can they have fucked a landslide victory so badly, so comprehensively and so quickly. It is astonishing. Can't be long before Slitherking Gove emerges from his lair to 'save' them.
TDYER63
What a bloody disaster. Grant Shapps made Home Secretary after openly criticising Truss and sacked as Transport minister 6 weeks ago. Never mind Yes Minister we have now entered Blackadder territory. What will be the next cunning plan I wonder.
