Flora MaDonald
I'll give the Muslim Krays this; they shook hands wi a wee salesman at the printworks they're holed up in, said they don't kill civilians and told him tae phuq off.

johnnie x
24 hour rolling TV news really is quite unpleasant. No need to broadcast this live. How long till we get live views from drones bombing things.
mariokempes56
So 3 gunmen succeed in getting 90,000 French police/forces into action on the streets of Paris. Is this the future of modern warfare ?
Glasgowmancity
Another hostage taken by someone else (apparently from the same group) in a different area of Paris now Edited January 9, 2015 by Glasgowmancity
TartanJon
The other bloke who killed the policewoman yesterday has shot someone else and taken a hostage at a Kosher shop in Vincennes, East Paris (that station is on the RER line to Disney)
Nobby
So 3 gunmen succeed in getting 90,000 French police/forces into action on the streets of Paris. Is this the future of modern warfare ? Pretty much, next stop the City of London. Im amazed it hasnt happened down here before. 3 blokes with assualt rifles would shut down the whole city.I just hope im not walking through my station when it happens !! neilser
the Muslim Krays Apt. Any sign of Barbara Windsor digging out her black hat yet? Edited January 9, 2015 by neilser
OLAS
This is scary. There's now two major concentrations of police miles away from each other. One or more sleeper/copycat would cause havoc.
Flora MaDonald
Mental stuff. You've really got to feel sorry for decent Muslims. They must be thinking "Oh phüq, here we go again. I'll be getting a doing soon".
newtownards
So 3 gunmen succeed in getting 90,000 French police/forces into action on the streets of Paris. Is this the future of modern warfare ? Good point..... Seems very effective. Once these three are dealt with, send out another three and so on.....
phart
So 3 gunmen succeed in getting 90,000 French police/forces into action on the streets of Paris. Is this the future of modern warfare ? I've seen interviews with folk(retired intelligence officers, and security services) saying you just need 4 teams of snipers in 8 major cities (like the DC snipers) and you immobolise the whole country. so 64 folk at the high end. OLAS
Kicking off. Smoke and gunfire at the place where the 2 brothers allegedly are. Cops have stormed it. These martyrs are probably dead. Must be a matter of time until they storm the supermarket, but that sounds more dangerous for civilians. Rossy
This is the day to break into a house in Paris, if you're into that sort of thing. Saying that, you've got thousands of French coppers desperate to shoot someone...so burglers, stay safe.
OLAS
Two brother suspects deid. Supermarket stormed also and France24 were saying hostages were seen escaping but now saying 6 of them dead though. I'd be happy doing unpaid overtime if working in France this evening.

All three are dead and probably what they wanted. Better news coming through about the supermarket hostages. Seems like they survived but the ambulances all racing off with police escorts say it might not all be good. Hope this is the end of it, but I'm guessing it might only be fueling already burning fires. Mental few days to be a Parisian.

thewelk
Mental few days to be a Parisian. Only of you watch the news. They've got people believing that there's some kind of jihadi apocalyptic episode happening. Things are mostly normal. There are a few extra police about but there was always a soldier or 3 patrolling with rifles in the tourist hotspots and train stations. Have had France24 on for the past few days keeping updated. They're not saying anything of the sort and trying to report on the facts. It appears most folk in the immediate areas are staying indoors which is probably what would happen in any other city in the world. Fair enough, Paris is the size of a small country, but after what has happened it would be worrying that another nutter might pop-up randomly.
