I don't know why there was so much emphasis on putting crosses into the box when their team are feckin giants and dealt with them easily. Hickey looked way out of his depth in the first half but got better in the second half. Hanley should be dropped. Something also is not right with McTominay and Dykes. Our CBs set up far too narrow and we wanted the full backs wide. All it did was cause their wide players to drift into the half space between the fullbacks and the CB. We at least showed a bit of fight for the last 25 minutes and looked a lot better after the formation changed, but the damage had been done by then. Without Tierney this formation looks wonky. We've better players than Wales but they'll beat Ukraine because those fuckers are arrogant enough to just play the team in front of them. Im disgusted with the overall performance, it was pretty easy to see things weren't working they gave us space to attack and when they had the ball back we were vulnerable. McTominay in midfield is far more effective. Their tactics were spot on and they showed up. I feel like we gave it away which hurts the most. Our best chance in 24 years at being at a World cup.
