Yep he's injured not seriously though.

Any opions on Cooper?

Leeds certainly look tighter in defence with Cooper in there . After conceding 11 goals in previous 2 games he certainly made a difference yesterday even though  Leeds lost

I am guessing that those two results probably made the manager reconsider his centre back options. Hopefully cooper gets a run in the team until the end of the season.

Fraser Hornby, remember him?

On really good goalscoring form on loan at Oostende. Finally getting a run of games and injury free, still only 23. Worth keeping an eye on.

8 goals in 21. A goal every 200 mins which is pretty decent. If he can improve on that form then he might warrant a call up.

Genuinely looks like Paterson is 4th choice RB - Coleman been starting now he's out he started Holgate at RB yesterday when he was sent off Godfrey came on who i believe played RB the other week

No he isn't, he played over half a hour against Fulham just last week.

Dyche is a known pragmatic coach.  He sets up his team's to defend first & foremost so Patterson probably won't be first choice. They are in a relegation fight that's when more often than not coaches start with experienced players that doesn't mean Patterson hasn't a part to play of the bench.

If at the start of next season he is still a bench warmer or worse still Dyche signs another recognised right back then it'd be time to be concerned about his Everton future.

Conways goal yesterday. Thats 11 for the season so far. This lads got to have a decent chance of being in the main squad for the june games.

He should maybe have had a penalty as well.

If he stays on a really good scoring run until the end of the season with not.

We know Stevie Clarke though , Jacob Brown will probably have to lose his club place to be dropped.

Assuming Tierney plays, then we still have a choice of 2 from 4. Advantage of Hyam is that he played on the left of a back three at Coventry despite being right-footed.

Indeed. And Cooper, Porteous and Souttar have shown their worth for us in the past plus I expect Hendry to be fit too.

Tierney will start LCB. Porteous will likely start RCB so its really just CB that is up for grabs. Imo CB is the easiest of the 3 to play as its more about old school defending with less emphasis on getting on the ball etc.

Yeh it's those 2 & whoever is fit & finishes the season in best in the middle.

At the end of the day as far as the Norway games concerned it'll not matter who is playing as a lot better central defenders than we've got have tried to stop Haaland without success so if we don't cut off the supply we know inevitable result.

He is like a fuckin headless chicken, marking is poor. I can't understand why Patterson is on the bench...

Think the right back is actually a very mediocre centre half.

As long as Dyche is there and as long as he's playing a back 4, I don't see Patterson getting into that team.

BBC radio 5 pundits mystified why Patterson is on the bench given how bad Godfrey has played.
Dyche said in a press conference that Patterson & Garner aren’t quite ready for Premier League football. Well, it looks like their more experienced defenders aren’t either.
