Zander Clark had an absolute stormer on Saturday.

Apparently the squad is named tomorrow? He would be unlucky to miss out if Liam Kelly is included as the 3rd keeper behind Gordon & McLaughlin.

Given you could sign Clark for about £500,000 you wonder why no teams have had a look at him.

But with Patterson, part of the reason he was called up was due to a lack of options. Both Ralston and Ramsay are now on the scene.

Patterson impressed for Rangers with stand out performances in Europe last season. And his showings for Scotland has enhanced his reputation so there is no way he'll be dropped for two untried (at international level) options. Patterson (to a lesser degree) is like Gilmour so you wouldn't suggest he was left out because he isn't starting for Norwich? Club form is a gauge of a player's game but international form in the same period can be used as the same. Gilmour and Patterson have both done very well for us so their place in the squad should not be in jeopardy. If a right-back slot is available then you may be looking at O'Donnell being dropped for either Ralston or Ramsay and I would not be against that either. Time to be ruthless and think of the future.

Ross Stewarts goal from the weekend. 10 goals so far this season, if he keeps this up he won't be in league 1 very long.

And he might even achieve that with Sunderland, if they can avoid many more 5-1 scuddings.  😁

Nice finish from him though, which suggests he a bit more than just a big target man you can lump it up to.  I don't think he will be called up but given the type of player he is and his form this season, he could be a stand-in for Dykes against Moldova.

Che Adams scored a peach of a goal against Watford too.

Hickey playing for Bologna against Cagliari just now. Nil nil at halftime.

If Tierney can't make it, then surely we'd have to look at Hickey for a call up. We'd be left with Robertson as our only option at LB

Get Hickey in the squad regardless.

He has started every league game this season for Bologna and scored 2 goals. At a certain point you have to wonder why he isn't in the squad. Especially when he can cover multiple positions and plays weekly as a Left wing back in a back 5.

When was the last time we had a teenager playing, let alone playing every game in a top 5 league? Gilmour and D.Fletcher are probably the last to even play once or twice as a teenager in a top 5 league, never mind starting every week.

Yes, yes but.....could he play centre back like Tierney? And he would not start at LB ahead of Robbie. Actually, let him join up with the U21s...if he doesn't think it beneath him; that would show his attitude.

According to today's DR, Clarke is tracking Stoke's Jacob Brown

I've just had to look him up as I've never heard of him. Seems right wing is his best position and he scores goals - we are lacking in options here after Forrest, but no doubt we will get the usual, "Is he Scottish? He's just after a CV ..blah..blah".

Thought McTomvwaa excellent last night. Really aggressive. Still don't think we've seen the best of him when played in midfield yet. Can actually see UTD using him at the back soom. With varane injured  and such a shoddy defence.

I definitely think midfield is his best. But needs a good run at it with us. Hard to say he deserves to start ahead of mcgregor and gilmour  though
