I have been there, and on a number of occasions. But still I find this self deprecating bullshit tiresome at best. Why can't we ever just be happy with what we've achieved, in this case qualification for what will, in my opinion, be the last decent tournament before uefa/fifas right on agenda ruins it all.

I made this point a while back, these last 2 friendlies are a no win situation. Lose or play badly and the usual doom mongers will be all over it but, ffs, why the hell would any player risk missing out on, what might well be, their only chance of playing in a major tournament. And the last proper one nation hosted one at that!

The one positive to come from all these injuries is that Clarke may be forced to take someone like Doak. Could invisage him coming on in a game and making an impact as I'm sure none of our opponents would even be aware of his existence

To be honest though, that bugbear has been usurped by McTominays disallowed goal against Spain. I know it ultimately doesn't matter but it feels like our, and his, greatest footballing moment was snatched away from us that night and I just can't let it go 😤 I know I'll get the usual tirade of 'It was offside' or 'It was a clear foul, get over it' blah, blah. But was it fuck. RIdiculous decision!

I haven't done the necessary leg work but I reckon, statistically, this game is the most Scotland have dominated any team in virtually every statistic since, well, ever 🤔 Yet still we lost, football eh!?

I'd put my mortgage on Adams, Shankland and Dykes. I love Dykes and what he's done for us (Norway game in particular, legendary) but in all honesty he probably shouldn't be going, based on current form and even if he does, chances are he won't play anyway so why not take a punt on the likes of Conway or Doak? If nothing else it'll be a great experience for them. May as well not give them a game at the tournament than not give Dykes a game 🤔

Sorry if I've misunderstood but weren't you the one that mentioned anyone getting pelters? And the one you mentioned was McGeady and he took pelters for turning his back on his actual country, not for representing us as a last resort. Also I feel I've used the word 'pelters' too many times now and it sounds weird
