A couple of defensive lapses in the first half allowed England to go in at halftime in front but Scotland were the better side for most of the second half. That reminds me of the main Irish commentator (i forget his name) when Kieran Tierney first started impressing for Celtic in the champions league ages ago. The story came out Ireland had been trying to persuade him to play for them, and the commentator kept pointing out he was born in the isle of Mann. The SFA should be doing all they can to get scottish commentary at every game INCLUDING matches against England, men and women. Having a token brit like mccoist doesn't cut it IMO. Considering missing Cuthbert and Watson that was a great performance last night. The behind the scenes stuff and the attitude since the world cup 4 years ago hung over them like a hangover fart on a frozen winter's morn but hopefully they're finally over whatever the beef was. I can buy back into that - going 2 down to England I was expecting a cricket score but they genuinely without question deserved something from the game. There is a full length match video of ITV live coverage of Scotland V England match in 1978 with Brian Moore commentating with Jack Charlton alongside him. The mask slipped several times with terminology like 'we' being used when talking about England and 'they' when talking about Scotland. Last night actually reminded me of watching an England - Scotland game back in the day, with the slower pace and the strips they were wearing. Very unlucky not to be coming away with at least a draw. The volley that hit the bar had it dropped in would have been a world class finish. Great technique. Not sure if there was VAR but the penalty not given in the first half at 0-0 for the challenge through the back was a shambles of a decision. Keep it up lassies. Really soft penalty as well, didn't alter the flight of the ball, grazed her fingertips, fairly close, and in my opinion her hands were not in an unnatural position.
