He might have a Sweden international ahead of him too now:

This boy is 19. If he plays ahead of Gilmour it makes the Brighton manager's excuse about Gilmour's age seem even thinner.

Versatile and technical midfielder who is good on the ball. That is the description they are giving of this Swedish guy.Who does that remind you of.Sounds like a right kick in the balls for Billy Gilmour.

Form wise it's looking a bit rough going into March
GK
Gordon - injured,

Defenders
Patterson - currently injured, Hickey - just coming back from injury, Hendry - lack of games, Tierney - lack of games, McKenna - lack of games, Ralston - lack of games, Souttar - currently injured, Cooper - currently injured

Midfield
McTominay - currently injured, McGinn - currently injured, Gilmour - lack of games, Armstrong - lack of games, Turnbull - lack of games

Forwards
Dykes - ill, Stewart - out for the season, Nisbet - currently injured, Fraser - lack of games

Really it's only McGregor and Lewis Ferguson who seem to be playing regularly and playing well. The likes of Robbo, Hanley & Che are all playing but not necessarily in great form. Could really do with some of the players who aren't out injured for long really hitting the ground running in Feb & March

Not looking in great shape, are we? 😕 You could put together a more than presentable looking side from those absentees alone.

On the other hand, the next game is around six weeks away so hopefully a few of them will be back in time (it's only Gordon and Stewart who we can say for certain will be unavailable).

Shame that none of the guys doing well in the Championship did not get a call up in that friendly against Turkey I.e Hyam, Campbell and Hackney for example especially with the amount of players not playing or injured.

It’s never not going to be weird the lack of players etc tried in that friendly especially goalkeeper(s)

Going by performance ratings and fan remarks he played well.

It’s usually spammed the BBC comments by fans of him , on the rare occasions he does play.

There is no chance of him starting regularly
