A right-sided centre half... He's been playing in the center of a five man defense and has pretty high ratings on who scored.com. The more I see of central defenders ratings playing in the middle of a back 3 the more it looks like a pretty easy position to fill.

A right-sided centre half... Wouldn't right him off, he has great natural attributes for a central defender, pace strength, height, confidence was just shot to pieces at Celtic. Davie Weir came good for us later in his career, maybe with some experience behind him and confidence Jack Hendry can get in about the squad again it's never too late. He actually played well for Scotland in the games he did play.

He actually played well for Scotland in the games he did play. He definitely did play well for us. His pace is unbelievable and with a bit of maturity his use of the ball will be fine. He’s got a lot of technical ability for a centre half and will be developing a defender’s nous with more game time.
ProudScot
Jack Hendry played well for us. Celtic could do a lot worse than have him back right now also. Definitely will be back in the squad at some point. Gauld, Morgan & Hendry all seem to be performing well abroad now.

Seems to be playing really well over there and could be a good option for us as a back up to Fraser or Christie in that position just of Dykes or if we change things up out wide. Wouldn't mind giving him another go although I still have reservations after his poor loan spell at Sunderland.
Burj_Alba
Remember his namesake Colin didn't really hit top gear until his late 20s. He didn't do too badly. Pity there wont be any friendlies before EURO 20 to try out players like Hendry, Nesbit, Gauld and Moragn.

theabsentee
Elliot Anderson a attacking midfielder who has just turned 18 in on the bench for Newcastle tonight. Supposed to be a outstanding talent with comparisons to a young Ross Barkley. I think he was born in Whitley Bay but has been representing us since under 16's. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/international-football/steve-bruce-makes-big-decision-newcastle-united-midfielder-elliot-anderson-3042583%3famp

Burj_Alba
Decent finish from very decent assist. Will do his confidence a power of good. Not that i think the big man lacks confidence.
Tartan Chris
Bit of buzz about the Coventry defensive duo Dom Hyam and Michael Rose atm. Both mid 20s and Hyam played a couple of times for the under 21s. Coventry kept two clean sheets in last week although they will be tested at Norwich tomorrow. Could be two to look at straight after euro 2020.

The other central defender is Kyle McFadzean who is an eligible for us but definitely on the wrong side of 30.

Think he represented Scotland at under 16 level and has been involved/played for Scotland under 18’s at some point. However, the English FA are also keeping tabs on him! Let’s hope he continues to be selected for us or potentially another talent could slip through the net......

Unless he turns out a prolific scorer. Why cannot we produce strikers?

Agreed but even they weren't prolific as far as international standards go. McCoist (19). Archibald (4), McAvennie (1), McInally (3), Nicholas (5), Johnston (14) and McClair (2). And that just shows how far behind we have been for so long in unearthing true international class strikers.
ProudScot
Coisty was excellent and the could have played for a bigger side than Rangers. Duncan Ferguson should have got about 75 caps & challenged for top scorer.

They probably paid as well as most of the big English sides and had a team that would of challenged for the English title.
