Are people actually arguing about whether Gilmour should go out on loan or not?

If Gilmour properly breaks into the Chelsea first team and keeps his place there is absolutely no need for him to go out on loan.

If he doesn’t get another start and goes back to the under 23s or warms the bench for the full squad then a loan might be a good idea. It’s not complicated.

Barely touched the ball. Alaves been completely outplayed. Have to say Martin Odegaard is going to be a great player and live up to the hype, he produced amazing assist for first goal.

Funny that I was just checking his stats before I looked here.  Only person  who has touched the ball less than him is the Sociedad keeper.

Your right it isn't complicated, the key word is if, let's wait until he actually properly becomes a first team regular before we have this discussion because atm he isnt.

For anyone interested, Scotland u18s have been playing in a development tournament in Turkey, where they played against top opposition from Africa and South America.

We beat Cameroon, who won the Youth African Cup of Nations, 2-0. And today we won 2-1 against Paraguay. Paraguay came third place in the South American Youth Championships. Kai Kennedy of Rangers scored a double in that game.

Scotland weren’t full strength either.

Better get rid of those performances schools.  They’re clearly not working.

I think all 3 sides are going to the Youth World Cup as well. Things have improved at youth level for Scotland massively, we now compete brilliantly with top nations at u19s and below. We just need to try and translate that to the U21s and then hopefully the Full Team.

Won't happen as their paths to regular first-team fitba will continue to be blocked by foreign p*sh and third-rate English journeymen.  Sadly.

That’s what used to happen when our players weren’t good enough. I don’t think it will happen with players who are.

Bringing in foreigners and journeymen hasn’t exactly improved the quality of our league i would argue.

That’s what happens right now.

Hearts are a perfect example;

2 seasons ago a young team and a lot of positivity, all young Scots and a lot of exciting players.

In come 15 non Scots and they are all booted out and the excitement is zapped and they are a complete pants outfit with a ring piece for a manager.

Cochrane is on loan and will be a star for Hearts unless he goes direct to EPL. Macdonald on loan and Hickey in the team. You know full well these boys are very young to be grinding out points.

And Morrison, Brandon and Irving are playing some part in most games.

Hearts also have Halkett, Berra, Souttar, Naismith, Walker and MacLean so not all non-Scots.

That said, last season was a disappointment but it's looking better.

Cochrane's on loan to Dunfermiline and has played how much?

If you think he is going straight to the EPL you are living on another planet
