Two stabbed outside Ibrokes tonight, hope they're ok.

I hope they're okay too. From what I've heard they're both Osijek fans.

Aberdeen were a bit unlucky there. They just seemed to run out of steam in the end. Thought Shinnie was outstanding. Well done to Hibs, 3/4 is no bad in the end 👍

It's Scotland's best season in terms of progress in Europe since 2014-15 - arguably better as we only had one side starting in the Europa League first qualifying round that season, compared to two this season, and Celtic have had to get through additional rounds in the Champions League. All of the ties in the next round could go either way - it would be great to have (at least) two Scottish sides in Europe after the qualifiers. It's a shame Aberdeen couldn't get through, because I feel that Başakşehir are about as good as Burnley.

After the embarrassment of last season, we can be proud of our clubs' achievements in Europe so far this season.

Not sure, but none of their fans were allowed in until just before half time.

Impressed with us tonight. 10 times better than this time last season.

No defeats in 90 minutes for Scottish teams this season should help the coefficient...

We've got 2.625 points so far this season, requiring 3.250 to avoid dropping points on last season. To reach this, we require two wins and a draw from our three sides.

if it's Osijek fans then you reap what you sow.

I'm no lover of Rangers but walking down PRW attacking random fans then you are asking for it.

Osijek only had 100 odd fan's and every one was looking for trouble.

What happened to our super dooper police force that like to film Scottish fans for fun and raid buses? These Croats were in Glasgow city centre all afternoon  Doesn't take a genius to spot them.  By all accounts Rangers fans got an escort to ground last week due to home fans yet our police let them have a free reign. Something stinks.

Naivety due to the numbers possibly

Probably. Still awful planning though.

Spoken to someone caught up in it. Said the police on the ground were spot on when it all kicked off, female officer quickly getting between them and his sister and son.

Aberdeen slightly unfortunate but didn't do enough to go through. Burnley were there for the taking though and if Aberdeen had a manager with even a modicum of attacking creativity, they would have went through.

McInness seems to me like he came through the Largs school of defence.  I am no fan of Lennon but if I were a Dons fan I would take him in an instant.  He sets his team out to attack.  I never seen the game last night so can't comment but would have loved them to go through.  And believe it or not I was supporting Cellic when they played against Blackburn and Liverpool en route to UEFA cup final.  But not in the final itself!  Then I was a Porto fan

The same football intelligence took 5 officers to Norway for a low risk game on Tuesday costing the taxpayer thousands when it was never a risk game in a million years.  The type of Celtic fan at that game were guys who never miss a game ever, not the kind of fan known to police.

Those Croatians were on Buchannan Street in a large group yesterday at lunchtime, they drank in pubs all day,  and to say the police never knew they were there is daft. They know exactly who's in the country from opposing teams.. Naivety isn't one of the excuses.

As I said, that group of Croats stuck out like a sore thumb yesterday. Dressed like tramps for starters!

That said, the cops who were on the scene quickly did a great job but their superiors have fucked up big time.

Biggest issue last night was the fact he went into the game without a striker capable of scoring.

I don't think thats the main issue here, there's no guarantee that even Adam Rooney would have put that chance away at the end, there's not even a guarantee he or any other striker would have been in the position. Burnley's quality, resources and squad depth shone through during extra time. We matched them for 180 minutes but were barely in during ET.

We took on three players, two of which effectively weakened the 11 on the pitch.  Burnley took on three players who didn't.

against my better judgement I looked at mox's post despite having it on ignore. My decision is still the right one because there is no way the manager can be blamed for last night, if anything he had it spot on for 180 minutes where we matched a team with more resources than Celtic

Yep.  Your decision is the right one.  It always will be.  Am I on ignore tae?  I am on Parklife's!  What an achievement 🤣

I would’ve preferred an all guns blazing approach in extra time, particularly when we went 2-1 down, but Burnley were street smart, where we weren’t. The foul on Scott Wright on the halfway line when he was on the break was a prefect example of that. But we matched them for 180 minutes, maybe give them some sort of different opinion of Scottish football now, but I doubt it will.

My biggest fear now is we won’t have enough steam for Sunday, but I suppose we can afford to give the Huns a headstart after last seasons performances.
