Nice to see Lee Gibson get an assist on her 50th cap 🙂 Next couple of years will be interesting as look like there's a side there capable of competing in League A. Arguably could have won both without Cuthbert, Watson then Weir getting injured. Appear to have a right back that can get up n down and the young lass that came on in midfield looks a player. Look short at centre half and keeper but they look a completely different outfit from the one that completely fucked up the euro qualifiers
scotlad
A draw was the least they deserved. They played some decent football and created a lot of chances, or half-chances, particularly in the first half, but I felt they were a bit predictable with their final ball and the Belgians quickly figured them out. Maybe if Weir had stayed on she might have conjured something up to unlock their defence. Belgium's best chances came as a result of Scotland's defensive mistakes. Toepoke
It'll be interesting to see how we fare against the Dutch but so far we seem to be holding our own at Europe's top table which is encouraging 👍
Hertsscot
Two disappointing losses but encouraging performances. I read an article a few months back and it was suggesting that with Love's retirement there wasn't as many youngsters coming through. Hopefully these performances price otherwise. I have to admit I looked at the score a couple of minutes before the end. I just assumed we lost. Very pleasant surprise to find out the following afternoon that we'd got actually got a draw! She is clearly one of the best woman players in the world and we as a nation (and the rest of the world) haven’t appreciated this. Hopefully she gets back to her best. Toepoke
Scutched 4 nil in the Netherlands. Really need to get our best players fit again for the Euro 2025 qualifiers next year.
Toepoke
Much better performance tonight v the Dutch at Hampden, just lacking the cutting edge up top. Sandy MacIver doing an Angus Gunn will certainly strengthen us in the goalkeeping department.
Toepoke
England now need to win at Hampden next month for TeamGB to have any chance of qualifying for the Olympics, which creates an interesting twist for that final game.

Might have to go to that one now. Tbh we were unlucky not to get a draw when we played them down there.

It is an interesting twist. But is it not also a totally ridiculous situation? So Scottish players who really want to compete at the Olympic level and be a part of team GB have a real incentive to lose the match. Just another reason for the whole team GB thing to get to fuck. Aye, you could imagine Belgium/Netherlands wouldn't be too happy if the scenario appears. Probably just as well Caroline Weir will miss the game, although our new keeper MacIver has played for England and could be in contention for a GB squad. Hopefully the Dutch get a point at Wembley and render the game meaningless.

Yep watched the report on News at 10 which barely mentioned that England were playing in a Nations League tie, it was all about Team GB's Olympic qualification being back on track. No mention of the fact that the deciding game was against another "GB" side.
ThistleWhistle
How do we qualify for the euros after relegation- top our group then beat a bottom team from League A? There's a cracking side in there somewhere.
