Probably the best midfielder seen at Hillsborough for 20 years. (not that there has been a lot of competition mind). Bannan played in the middle against Lithuania and was fantastic. Since then most of his games have been left midfield. I see it a little like Armstrong at Celtic. His strongest position is attacking midfielder but Deila's lovechild tends to take that role which means Armstrong gets put on the flank and it is not a natural position for him. His performances for Dundee Utd and early Celtic games are night and day in comparison to now. His form hasn't dipped as such - its just he is not playing any run of games in his best position.
