  1. I thought Shankland did really well and if he puts that chance away then the entire conversation would be different. I trust Clarke to find the solution with Ferguson. He did it with Tierney and Robertson, got the best out of McTominay and I think he'll do the same with Ferguson. He's clearly trying to get us playing football on the front foot even away to a team like that. Did the same home v England, it's going to take time. It might not come off and he's going to have to compromise and maybe be more pragmatic but it's clear he's not willing to just settle.
  2. If course the issue is the missed chances. Also whilst we might not create as many chances in the Euros games as we did tonight, we might not miss as many. Clarke learning a thing or two about the players is what these games are all about. Would be nice to win them (or not get beaten) whilst he is learning mind you
  3. I'm putting a lot of these reactions down to the shock of losing so heavily when we played so well for probably 85mins of that game. The 2 late goals skewed that game beyond belief. Even after the 2nd we played reasonably well and had a really good chance that McTominay missed. I genuinely can't remember Scotland playing away to a team of the level of the Netherlands and playing so well. The passing was superb, we pressed so well, winning numerous balls close to their box and creating some great chances from those. Clearly taking chances was and is an issue but I've sat through so many games where we've lost 4-0 and more where we've been outclassed for the whole game. That wasnt tonight, we held our own and more. Had that been a competitive game Gilmour and Tierney wouldn't have went off and we probably wouldn't have lost control. I get that we're on a bad run but we've played some very good teams and mostly away from home. It's maybe not the disaster that we're maybe feeling it is.
  4. So it's just the Gibraltar game you have an issue with? Bear in mind that game will come about a month after the championship in England has finished, 2 weeks after the English premier league has finished and and I think 2 weeks after Serie A has finished. Will likely be used as an easy ish game for players on the fringes to get some game time. Finland will be a decent test.
  5. Couldn't have told you mate, just went on and that was all they were offering so grabbed it with both hands as it's the only game i've already booked flights and accommodation for.
  6. Managed to get a Hungary ticket, was €400 as that was all that was left.
  7. Are these SSC tickets or ones that you got in the UEFA ballot?
  8. Travelling the day before the game so I'd hope that UEFA had released the tickets by that point. I've never had been in a scenario with UEFA where I didn't have the tickets at least a week before the game.
  9. The issues noted on Trust Pilot are more centred around EPL clubs who probably don't have this type of transfer facility in place and they are relying on QR codes being sent out. I'm only really needing one ticket and would like it to be in place and in mu UEFA app before I travel.
  10. I take it that the tickets you have from Stub Hub are just a confirmation email from them at the moment? My concern with them is the trustpilot reviews that are folk saying that they received a screen shot of the ticket and then this not working at the gate. This would be the case with the UEFA tickets as they need to be available in the app in my experience.
  11. Suspended I think, he got 3 yellows in the qualifying campaign. Georgia will have a real shot at making this, they are a tough team to beat at home. Would be happy with them as a 4th seed should they qualify.
  12. Applied for 2 tickets for about 6 games, opening game, Final and a few saturday games dotted around. Managed to get two tickets for a game in Dortmund on Sat 15th June so fingers crossed for it being a Scotland game.
  13. No, France were the Pot 1 team for that campaign. The draw for that qualifying group would have been done well before the World Cup Finals so performance in that won't have been taken into account.
  14. I was pretty pissed at the performance, mainly in an attacking sense as I thought we gave them far too much respect. I thought we did defend really well but I felt for 86 mins of that game that we had pretty much gifted them the 3 points because whilst we had defended reasonably well we had failed to do the other part of the game plan in countering effectively. I did think we would get a chance at some point and as long as we kept it at 1-0 we would be able to salvage something out of the game, really didn't see that turnaround though. I've seen glorious failure so many times watching Scotland it's just nice to see it go the other way for a change. There was a point in injury time where Armstrong has the ball in midfield and nearly gave it away I was having flashbacks to the England game! Playing poorly but winning isn't necessarily something to be annoyed at, I think its a sign of resilience. Hopefully we can ram home to advantage we've given ourselves on Tuesday night.
  15. There was a bad accident on the M8 at Heartlands that happened around 4.30ish that night so that's why that was so busy. Whether the road was 2 lanes or 6 lanes that was going to cause a huge holdup. It's also the busiest time of the day you decided to leave at, I'd have probably left earlier than 4.30 from Edinburgh if I was you but I accept that may not have been an option.
  16. ITV and I assume STV will be showing the Scotland v Ukraine game on the 21st.
  17. Brighton are a great team, he's going to work in a great set up and under a brilliant manager.
  18. Gilmour being heavily linked to Brighton which would be an absolutely brilliant move for him. He would fit in there really well and they have a very good recent record of taking on young players and developing them.
  19. Would imagine that Mexico City may get the opening game with the US getting the final. I think they may prefer NY as the final venue as the time difference there is better for the European audience. Although they could play the game in LA at lunchtime with the roof closed if the weather was an issue.
  20. I don't think they have decided on which City will host the final. I would be surprised that the US as the biggest provider of venues aren't going to be hosting the final. I've read a couple of atricles suggesting the final will be in either New York at the MetLife Stadium or in LA at the SoFi Stadium.
  21. If we're sticking to 3 at the back and we have no Tierney then I'd be interested to see how switching Robertson to LCB and playing Hickey at LWB would work out. Robertson could push forward and overlap beyond hickey or vice versa. I always think that Robertson struggles without Tierney (or anyone for that matter) overlapping and creating an option for him or creating space. It's how it works for him at Liverpool but with Scotland he's usually got 2 or even 3 players to try and deal with which is almost impossible. It might work, it might not but it's got to be worth a try and Armenia is certainly a game to try it out in.
  22. Yes, as will all of our Euro 2024 qualifiers.
