Outwith penalties Shankland's strike rate so far this season is no more than decent. Of course, if he went to Rangers and took pens he'd probably get twice as many goals but Tavenier takes the penalties for Rangers. I can't see what else he could offer Rangers that their current strikers couldn't, unless one of them isn't expected to be there much longer. Chance for him to build himself up again and have another crack at the epl when hes 23. I think a Portuguese or spanish team would be great for him, their leagues are based on technical skill and less on pace and power/strength than the epl.
