SNP seem to be taking a battering again currently about the Covid response enquiry and deleted WhatsApps.Β
Β

Against the backdrop on what’s going on at WM, you can’t help but feel that it’s just a no win situation. Whatever messages did or didn’t exist is just going to piss folk off and feed a media frenzy.Β
Β

Not everyone will agree, but Sturgeon and her government were largely applauded for the handling of covid. What we’re now seeing is the re-writing of history and the SNP not strong enough to battle against it.Β

Israel have bombed a refugee camp and tried to justify this by saying there was one hamas commander in the camp

It's absolutely disgusting what they are doing to gaza.Β

To understand the rationale you need to imagine you are an Israeli Zionist - As long as there are Islamists in Palestine they will never be safe and after 70 years they have a chance of ending that threat for good

It’s relentless and exhausting. The absolute shit show of things coming out about the UK government and Boris Johnson in particular and you are seeing media responses like β€˜ why are we even having an enquiry we all know that Boris was a bit rubbish’ like he had forgotten to put the bin out again. And the former communications director saying β€˜ it was the wrong crisis for this PM β€˜s skill set ! Then going on to compare how great his skill set was for Brexit . WTF !

Yet more focus is being put on the SG whatsapp messages. Β Jackie Bailie going on about deletion β€˜on an industrial scale’. Wtf does she know has been deleted, Β just the usual bullshit from her.Β

Seems they are getting released soon. Baton down the hatches because as you and Ally say there appears to be no one strong enough to fight the guaranteed onslaught, Β which will conveniently distract from Boris and his band of useless cretins.Β

It will only distract those who want to be distracted.

Covid is the one thing the SG comes out reasonably positive on with the electorate . Polls show that very clearly. Compare that to the UK government handling of the pandemic . They will stop at nothing to rip that positive impression to shreds .Β

They made a big deal at the time about NS and Scottish govt wanting to do things differently 'just for the sake of it'.Β  If anything then, the revelations (if we can call them that since obvious that Johnson's govt were dangerously inept/corrupt) about chaos at no. 10 should highlight why they wanted to distance themselves.Β

Suppose we will see in good time. It absolutely amazes me that anyone in a senior position Β doesn’t consider the implications of whatsapp messages. In a global pandemic when they clearly dont have a fookin clue what they are doing.Β

If the SG are shown to be equally clueless then so be it. They need to accept what comes. However what is getting my goat is this huge furore about deleted messages. If you google ’ uk government deleted whatsapp messages’ all you get is realms of articles about Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf. Absolutely nothing about Uk government deleted messages. Yet there clearly were.

https://www.politico.eu/article/the-british-governments-disappearing-whatsapps/

Screaming that Β β€˜messages have been deleted’ automatically makes people think there is something to hide, the Mail even had that headline over the front page the other day. Its all they have to try and undermine the SG at this point and make it look like this is only a SG issue.Β

If i was Humza Yousaf i would be making a statement along the lines of - Look, The former FM stood in front of a hostile media every single day and answered questions on Covid 19 strategy along with umpteen gotcha attempts trying to damage Scottish Independence until the Unionist parties at Holyrood took umbrage - now fuck off

If you don't believe those that say there was a tier of Judaism during WW2 and that the Zionists sacrificed non Zionists then watch this

He’s just done exactly that, without the β€œfuck off” bit, to Douglas Ross.

No surprises, he's a deluded man with a much higher opinion of himself than is held by the general public. What did Cummings call him the other day, 'a proven liar' who should never have been in charge of the NHS?

This popped up on my timeline, a wee reminder in the light of what’s actually been coming out of the UK COVID inquiry this week. The Daily Mail is not to be trusted.

Β

I don't remember seeing footage of the PM or any other UK govt politician speaking as clearly or addressing questions like that. It was all waffle.Β

On another note re Daily Express/Daily Mail, they are going irony daft this morning with headlines about remembrance day not being 'ruined' by Palestine protests. Yes we've learnt nothing from the sacrifice of previous generations and the UK govt are actively encouraging more war and suffering as we speak. Front page photo of Kate on a bicycle wearing a poppy.Β

Monday will see the UK media go into overdrive if a protest interrupts the remembrance parade in central london.

It's usually best to avoid wading into this kind of topic but their giddiness about the event is horrendous and quite nauseating. Usually when a Royal is wearing some kind of multi poppy display on a lapel, like it's an actual competition. Not remotely befitting the solemnity of it all.Β

The Beatles' final song, released today...

Β

I shouldn't really be surprised, but that's actually no bad! Better than the "new" songs they released in the '90s anyway.

I know they got Lennon's vocal from an old demo tape that they managed to clean up using AI, but I wonder how they got Harrison's guitar on there too. Did they lift that from an old demo or had they started working on this song before he died?Β Β πŸ€”
