  1. Quite a bit of yesterday's gleeful commentary highlighted the lack of knowledge (or being deliberately misleading) about how the Scottish Parliament works, particularly the whole majority thing. Folk also placing Yousaf on a par with Sunak 🙄 There didn't seem to be much fuss about the UK govt pushing their DRS scheme back to 2027 because it's a bit hard to sort out. Funny how that makes us incompetent when it's up here! Reports were just like passing observations about the govt being lobbied against glass inclusion and Wales wanting to keep it in the scheme. No big drama like there was before. I had a wee peek on Pie & Bovril when I couldn't get on here last night. Some interesting and amusing observations...Someone reckoned that Yousaf was just being procedural going by his letter and the assumption that the Greens were going to vote against continuing the agreement anyway. Then they've reacted in the heat of the moment... "Holding a press conference immediately after you've been punted was a terrible idea; much like sending a colleague an email when you're raging, doing the weekly shop when you're hungry or immediately replying to a text from a girl. You just don't do it. Very amateur from the greens." 😂
  2. This is the kind of story (Private Eye) that makes me question police motives up here too...
  3. Supermarkets (and some garden centres) not watering the plants that sit outside 🪴
  4. One of the problems with that is, doubters/Unionists/media won't allow an Indy party or anyone else to say they'll sort out other stuff once we're independent. They just demand answers, just as they did with a number of issues around 2014. It was the likes of Patrick Harvie, funnily enough, that pointed out many of the questions couldn't be answered at this point and both govts would have to be pragmatic and negotiate through these issues in the end. To me, the Cass report is just saying we shouldn't be so gung-ho with young people starting off on changing their gender/sex (whatever is acceptable language!) by taking drugs/hormones too readily as there hasn't been enough quality analysis/studies. That's what most parties are saying, just tiptoeing round the issue. If the SNP go too far in the more cautious direction, then they'd probably be called transphobic! If anything, the stooshie built up around this is almost a self fulfilling prophecy. I doubt that Isla person (or whatever they're calling themselves) would have tried it on re the prison rouse if there wasn't the huge focus on it all.
  5. ...At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. 😳 Meanwhile, while everyone seems distracted by the FM trying to navigate a booby trapped interview, our esteemed UK govt is getting yet more authoritarian and has also shaken that magic money tree for "war footing" (election) cash...🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
  6. They don't seem to ask questions if they've got connections do they 🙄 Was that the story about the young Brazilian fellow? There were some dodgy jokes underneath the story about being denied entry for a Visa (you can work out what words in that sentence were used 👀) Up to no good for personal gain = no biggie Up to no good for no other discernable gain = long running expensive police operation
  7. Was going to post the Elvis version but this is great too. (Not sure if I'm still on topic here though 🤔)
  8. That does need pointing out whenever the opportunity arises. It's dismissed a bit like hyperbole but just arithmetic re number of seats. Also how easily it could swing back to Tory in far less than a generation.
  9. 😁 A bit of an analogy for more than just the football too!
