Scotty CTA
Celtic's fixture list is fair piling up... http://sport.stv.tv/football/306449-how-celtics-fixture-congestion-could-open-up-the-title-race/
OLAS
Poor wee souls. I bet they're looking to play the victim card already. I assume Thistle will get some of the blame because of the weather. If they didn't jet off to the sun, they could have played St.Johnstone on Saturday and Thistle on Wednesday, saving them a potential bigger build up in the coming months. Oh well. Rossy
I'll be cheering them on against Inter, and hoping that their arrogance catches up with them.
Flora MaDonald
Potential vigil for this. Northern Italy might be a wee bit cold for them.
Chief
I stopped reading at "what if Celtic progress in the Eyrooa League?"
Bzzzz
Imagine a football club with a team of highly paid professional players being expected to play games of football. Don't know what the world's coming to. They're clearly the victims here.
Kenneth Farrington
Going on holiday (to play a couple of friendlies) was absolute nuts. Players should have been rlling their sleeves up & getting on with it at this time of year.
Parklife
To be fair to Celtic, they've not complained about this..............Yet.
Cove_Sheep
Would be interesting if they require a replay in the Scottish Cup too.

I know its not quite the same but the US sports play two days in a row sometimes. Yes the players aren't on the full length of a match in Hockey etc but still. Scotty CTA
Former Leaf, Doug Gilmour, would routinely lose several pounds each game he played (which usually consisted of 30 minutes of ice time). One play-off game he lost 7 pounds. Edited January 16, 2015 by Scotty CTA

ShedTA
after taking a week out of the fixtures to play money making friendlies. you couldn't make it up. the league had better not even think about granting any request. Deila ponders fixture extension plea The Celtic boss is also reportedly considering requesting a fixture extension to allow the Hoops to manage their congested fixture list. Celtic have games against St Johnstone and Partick Thistle to play, on top of a list of games including the Europa League two-legged tie against Inter, and a League Cup semi-final against Rangers. If Celtic progressed in both competitions, that would mean a weekend off for the League Cup final and two midweek dates struck off the domestic front for European games. And Deila told the Evening Times: “If there are too many matches there could be a problem with time, of course, because you have to have three days between every game. “It is very hard to play Tuesday, then Thursday, or something, that is not fair.” Celtic could ask for matches to be played after the league split has taken place - but that could pose problems if the teams concerned are involved in a battle to determine whether they make the top six or bottom six. Scotty CTA
“It is very hard to play Tuesday, then Thursday, or something, that is not fair.” No other team postponed a fixture in place of a jolly.

Scotty CTA
Wasn't it two fixtures? I believe that the Partick Thistle game was called off due to weather, and that the St. Johnstone game was postponed due to their participation in the January tournament. kumnio
I'd find it brilliantly funny if Celtic got tired players/injuries and Aberdeen won the league because of it. Celtics hubris might finally be their downfall.
