Fred_Zeppelin
Some serious bed wetting going on about this. If I had a match and a pile of them I'd do it myself.
Ally Bongo
Well done to them I hope Sturgeon simply says let the voters decide whether it was offensive or not
Clyde1998
Something I should point out - the Smith commission is a recommendation to the UK Government and is not legally binding. The UK Government could reduce or modify the powers in the commission. It may not even get through UK Parliament - due to the English backbenchers. Fred_Zeppelin
Stupid thing to do. And doesn't help anyone. It was a cold day. See this pettiness from Scottish Labour, it's what's got them where they are today, people are turned off by whinging about the slightest thing. brant grebner
Willie Rennie should shut his glaikit pus with his Godwin law shite. They were twats to burn it though given the obvious reactions to burning a document. They should have pished on it.
Orraloon
They should mulch up loads of copies, then turn it into a paper mache effigy of Gordon Brown, then set fire to that. If they want to make a statement they should at least put some effort into it.
Guest flumax
what were they thinking it would achieve? daft. Should have put their time in to pointing out its flaws, and highlighting how it falls short of devomax/home rule.
Guest Extreme0
Councilers/politcains are like children. If they don't get what they want, they scream bloody murder and the outside viewer (The news) will say how horrible this is. Saying you burned it obviously would gain some attention and a few "That wasn't smart". Councilers burning the report while filming themselves doing it is retard's level of thinking...especially when you have the media who are not exactly in best terms with the SNP. Best thing the SNP would do is apologize and tell the councilers to knock it off.

Jacobite
A bit daft especially given the hysterical nature of the media in Scotland. No doubt by the time Willie Rennie gets a hold of this he'll have jackboots on the streets of Renfrew and buildings being burned.

northernscum
it was covered on national media :-)) Yes i know that, so is this story! What i asked is; do you recall all the handwringing and bedwetting from our illustrious politicians when the effigy was blown up? I seem to remember it being passed off as a wee joke. Alibi
On a par with Glenn Campbell tearing up an SNP manifesto on Reporting Scotland. Did the unionists condemn that? Would have been better using the pages of the Smith Report as toilet paper, although some of the shyte might rub off on to their 4rses. johnnie x
Of course its a very stupid thing to do and they should be carpeted by their bosses. There are loads of creative ways they could have shown their displeasure at the agreement. On the other hand the reaction of Sarwar just shows up labour for what they are.
