Played at U21 level for Wales. No thanks.

Caledonian Craig
He's not Welsh either to be fair. Nope he is English born in Bromborough who opted to play for Wales at various levels so theoretically we'd be his third choice??
wanderer
Though Ash Taylor has come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season, he is not good enough for international football and probably a dozen players better/more deserving than him. Al1978
Disappointing... Wigan midfielder Shaun Maloney's proposed move from the bottom end of the Championship to the bottom end of the Premier League with Leicester City is OFF. The Scotland international, 31, has failed to agree personal terms with the Foxes after the two clubs had agreed a fee. "Shaun went to talk personal terms and those talks have broken down," says Latics boss Malky Mackay. "He is back as my player again, I have spoken to him this morning and he is here until July unless something changes."

All Leicester would offer him is five months in the top flight as they are surefire certainties for relegation so he would have soon been back playing in the Championship again. Perhaps another EPL side will come in for him that will remain in the top flight now?
wanderer
Hmmmmm (much) better offer to go to the States next summer, but would rather stay in the UK?

Caledonian Craig
Potentially getting relegated again if he doesn't move though. I wouldn't worry too much about that as multiple clubs have been interested in him and I'd sooner he went to an established EPL club than one destined for relegation. Tartan blood
Gary Mackay-Steven signs a pre-contract with Celtic. Very happy with this. It pretty much guarantees inclusion in the Scotland team. Which is long overdue
PASTA Mick
I've never been a huge fan but left-mid is a position up for grabs for both Celtic and Scotland.
adamntg
You can punt Forrest for £10m now and know you've got a better replacement for nothing.
andyD
Probably a good move. I think i'd rather he'd gone to the championship, but at least we'll see him in europe and get an idea of how good he really is. He's an odd player. he has ability, for sure, but his number never quite reached what you expect him to do. this is maybe the best season he's had in that repect tho, so hopefully he can push on. He's got a bit to do to get ahead of anya, maloney, snodgrass and russell in my book, but at least he'll have a bigger stage to show what he can do. good luck to him. Tartan blood
Providing he doesn't warm the bench too much of course.Based on Deila's formation and distinct lack of quality wingers, I can't see that happening. But you never know. I'm just glad he is now in the position to stake a claim for Scotland
JECK
From what I've seen of him the last couple months.I can't understand how a decent championship side in England hasn't come in for him. I really don't get the attraction of Celtic, not now anyway. Simply aren't geared for champs league football anymore. Hopefully he does well enough at Celtic in the next couple of seasons and gets himself a move to Epl or Spain etc
LewisEDI
GMS is quality, I really hope we see him get a run in the scotland team. one of the few genuinely skilful players we have

LewisEDI
i rate GMS higher than forrest, once forrest's pace goes he's not going to have much about him. Edited January 16, 2015 by LewisEDI
