Least home nations qualify the better

When we failed to qualify for the euros in france (2016) when strachan was the manager and every other home nation did.

That hurt the most.

Ideal scenario would have been if england had failed to qualify but unfortunately they have.

Northen Ireland and Ireland are rebuilding?

Wales are in the mix?

Less home nations the better as we can use their airports if necessary to get to Germany.

I’ll be devastated if we end up in the same group as England, imagine the amount of cunts of both denominations it’ll attract

That would just be outstanding, can you imagine having to share cities etc with that shower of c***s? That'd ruin for me what is potentially a dream tournament.

100 percent.

We have never played them at a major tournament and I hope it stays that way.

Seen a few instances at wembley in 2021, irvine street, that could have easily escalated into something nasty if it wasn't for the MET police.

England away fans away from home are a different breed all together.

The Scotland vs England does also bring the worst out in people.

Sharing ferries and trains will be bad enough without sharing fan parks.

You're right, we've never played them at a major tournament.  Other than Euro 96.  Oh, and Euro 2020(1).

😅

There wasn't much bother at EURO 96 as the Polis did a grand job in the main

The scuffles after the game at Trafalgar Square were mostly a one off

I was at Trafalgar Square from about 9am on matchday and by midday it was mobbed with tour buses being diverted so they could come and witness the scenes

Mostly everyone was blootered and rather than arrest anyone for being too drunk the Police were taking them to the sides for a lie doon

There was an attempted incursion at one point but the Police again nipped it in the bud and everyone laughed at them as they were outnumbered by about 300 to one

The main reason I dont want other home nations being there (Accepted that England always will be) is that there is less chance of them poaching our good players.

During the long period where ROI and Wales were qualifying and we werent it was much more likely that anybody with dual nationality might opt for them. Its the opposite now.

I know the scenario doesnt come up that often but id hate to lose out on a top player just because they fell on the side of the nation that were more likely to qualify for championships than us.

Us qualifying more reguarly might help persuade some younger eligables to either stick with us or switch to us because it looks like we will at least get to every Euros. Guys like the Fletcher twins. Success breads success afterall.

Good post Diamond Scott.

It's a snowball effect. We are now seeing scottish exports to not only england but Europe.

Lewis Ferguson is now CAPTAIN of Bologna and can't gat a start under Clarke, because competition for a starting berth is so feirce.

We just need our top division in Scotland to believe in their young scots and give them a chance.

Only 23% of the starting 11 of our top division were eligible to play for Clarke, after the league was won.

The more role models we have at top clubs the better.

“IF” Italy Croatia and Czechs all secure automatic qualification Wales playoff path will be : Wales Poland Luxembourg and Estonia. If they got drawn with two home matches they would fancy that.

This highlights the benefit of retaining a Nations League group A status for almost assuring a Playoff and likely against weaker opponents

Could do with Italy dropping into these Playoffs and drawing Wales at home, UEFA would allocate that Dutch referee we had in Spain for that one.

Nope. Substitute Luxembourg for one of Ukraine, Iceland or Finland.

Georgia are playing Luxembourg.
