thewolf_1980
Shawshank would top my list of most over-rated films of all time. And yet strangely it was considered a flop following it's release.Mine are: Shawshank The Graduate Rain Man Good Will Hunting Little Shop of Horrors (the Rick Moranis one) Man on the Moon (Carrey's best film imo) Edited August 21, 2015 by thewolf_1980
Fairbairn
Man on the Moon (Carrey's best film imo) That and The Truman Show are 2 hugely under rated films for me.

Fairbairn
Enteral sunshine of the spotless mind was Carey's best film, after dumb and dumber obv I had high hope for that, and The Majestic, after Truman where it looked like he was branching out in to "serious" acting but neither really grabbed me. SMcoolJ
The year Gump came out you had Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption, for my personal tastes a great year. I also like Good Will Hunting. Strangely - I watched this about a month ago (not for the first time). Agree, fantastic film. Never really got Robin Williams - however, he was outstanding in this. I also loved Mini Driver ......
HUNTINGMcGREGOR
Those two appear in many people's lists, but I absolutely hate both films - I felt cheated that I wasted time sitting through them. seek treatment, you seem unstable. Al1978
That and The Truman Show are 2 hugely under rated films for me. The Truman Show is great. I've taken to watching it about once a year and it gets better every time.
Mindimoo
And yet strangely it was considered a flop following it's release. Mine are: Shawshank The Graduate Rain Man Good Will Hunting Little Shop of Horrors (the Rick Moranis one) Man on the Moon (Carrey's best film imo) Man on the Moon is Carey's only good film imo! Mindimoo
Ooo Educating Rita Good shout. Reminded me of anotherShirley Valentine. Have a real soft spot for it because of the location and my brother in law was in it - albeit briefly in the market scene!
Grim Jim
And yet strangely it was considered a flop following it's release. Mine are: Shawshank The Graduate Rain Man Good Will Hunting Little Shop of Horrors (the Rick Moranis one) Man on the Moon (Carrey's best film imo) I'm enjoying folks' films here, and when the chick-flicks appeared on the by-genre lists, thought 'no musicals yet?!', I know , but Little Shop of Horrors jumped to mind. Almost as camp as Rocky; not quite as shocking, but funnier. And the colored (yeah) girls are great btw my parents used to take me along to watch the likes of Carousel, Oklahoma, Oliver, and Sound of Music, so I fekkin' know a good muisical. But rebelled at 34 and got into wierdo stuff like yon. Where's the delete button?
Grim Jim
...and not a big Western fan, but if putting it in a genre list: High Noon by a mile!
Grim Jim
Slightly narrowed down ... Amelie Godfather 1 & 2 Pan's Labyrinth The Pianist Brazil Jean de Florette/ Manon de Sources Cinema Paradiso Blade Runner The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Amacord I bet that was hard You have some of my favourites there, but have not seen The Pianist (I confess that I'm all holocaused out), Amacord (still finding Fellini hard work) and J d Florette which I will deffo view. Blues Bros has been mentioned a few times and probably the greatest musical of all time (and one of my favourite films). Great film with great music and so many classic lines.
