ParisInAKilt
Ha ha. I liked it. Also thought it was a welcome if surprising return to form by De Niro who had been utter shite for many a year. Ha sorry, it's a decent film

Marky
Robert de Niro bought into buildings in the TriBeCa area years ago so he needs to make lots for lots of money from crap films to pay for the upkeep. Went to his restaurant TriBeCa Grill. Was very nice.
the Sunnylaw Jag
Is it sacrilege to suggest De Niro's best film was 'Midnight Run'?
Marky
Is it sacrilege to suggest De Niro's best film was 'Midnight Run'? Ha ha. Probably but it was very funny. Charles Grodin was excellent.
TartanJon
Every film I watch him in he just plays himself. I think he's pretty rotten despite being in one of my favourite films. Like Al Pacino he has become a parody of himself. He still makes the odd gems in between the stocking fillers. Casino is still one of the best films ever made

McExpat
The Usual Suspects The Shawshank Redemption Senna Rounders Casino Goodfellas Scarface Godfather Trilogy Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Return Of The Jedi Best movie I ever seen at the cinema was Black Hawk Down but on watching it for a second time on dvd it didn't seem anywhere near as good, the cinema viewing experience really made this movie shine for me. Special mention for me goes to a number of 80's movies I loved watching whilst a kid, Indiana Jones, Police Academy, Blues Brothers, Coming to Amercia, Top Gun, Naked Gun, Beverley Hills Cop, Blood Sport, The Karate Kid, Teen Wolf, American Ninja, Back To The Future, Mad Max, Rocky, same for the old James Bond movies, watching them at that age made each of them seem like the best movie in the world! Ormond
Rain Man was a good one o forgot. Think someone said it now though.I was in the cafe last year where he counts the toothpicks. I was working in Cincinnatti across the river. Newport, Kentucky is where the cafe Pompillios is. You can walk from Cincinnatti to it though in about 20 minutes across the border bridge. Edited September 10, 2015 by Ormond

Grim Jim
Just looked on IMDB to see what I gave a 10 to (aye, I know, I know I can't help myself). OK best films ever made is stretching some a bit! However, for some moment of time in the last few years I thought these were close . So ladies and gentlemen, in no particular order, blah, blah,... The Big Easy (I had the hots for Ellen Barkin)Guest House Paradiso (yes, I do find exploding rubber pants funny)Dark Star (surely not 'cause the alien looks like a pair of inflated rubber pants?)Run Lola Run (hots again?)Withnail & I (drink?)Very Bad Things (best with drink)Pulp Fiction (because I look like a dork?)Firefly (had to dig out the TV series afterwards... great!)Bram Stoker's Dracula (maybe it was when she stroked the dog's ears?)Gladiator (say what you like)The Terminator (took me 10 years to watch this classic 'cause I was put off by the 2 minutes I saw of Commando)Psycho (classic!)Alien (one of the most amazing things I've experienced in my life when this came out!)Casablanca (took me a while to actually get around to watching, but: classic!)The Fifth Element (just a great romp)The Rocky Horror Picture Show (just so funny when I let my eldest boy watch it at an awkward age. Still feel guilty.)Terminator 2: Judgment Day (best sequel)Blade Runner (yes it is better than the book)The Bourne Identity (wow!)Amélie (pure pleasure)The Thing (best remake? loved its references to the original B-classic which I'd watched (+stuff like quatemass & the pit) with my dad)Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (yeah, I do like vampires, and this was edgy)O Brother, Where Art Thou? (my first Cohen Bros experience and a fan since)The Graduate (classic!)Waterworld (ok, mibbee it's just me, but another good romp)Spartacus (classic!)Some Like It Hot (classic!)Tremors (can I say romp again?)Raising Arizona (just fuggin' brilliant!) There must have been something that annoyed me about some of my 8s & 9s, but if you're wondering, no the Lords of the Rings and Star Wars were never even close

Chico
Can't believe Airplane hasn't had a mention!! Cinema Paradiso my favourite film. I remember La Cage aux Folles being very funny, as well, but I did watch it about 15 years ago.
