the Sunnylaw Jag
He punched a colleague while on a final warning. Dealing with colleagues I will always be guided by the mantra What would JC Do now?
ParisInAKilt
Bellend of a man. Let the private sector fund him if there's a desire to keep him on TV. 20 minute verbal abuse and 30 second physical assault because the hotel couldn't serve him steak and chips. Why's he abusing the producer in the first place? Hardly his fault.
G-Man
Great article from Steve Coogan. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2011/feb/05/top-gear-offensive-steve-coogan J Good read. Dealing with colleagues I will always be guided by the mantra What would JC Do now? Just remember if you do punch someone you can now call on the Prime Minister as a defence. G-Man
Yeah but how long will that get out last? A few weeks or five years? Best just to thump someone sooner rather than later then Sunny. I'm self employed so I'm just going to punch someone who lives near me who I'm not keen on. I'm a veggie so I can bring in the food element by punching him when he's eating steak and say it's for eating a cow. Win win, petition and PM support. Toepoke
Loved Dara O'Brien's comment at the end of last week's eclipse/stargazing marathon... "Well it's been a long day, I'm knackered, and there better be a steak waiting for me at the hotel".

Fairbairn
Anecdotal?... Aye. Work for a travel company and he called up a while back giving one of the lassies dogs abuse. Was something to do with wanting to guarantee particular seat numbers on a flight but wouldn't give his name or any details to help us find the booking. Told the girl she should stop asking stupid questions and "just do her fcking job". Came over as a right bellend apparently which is not what I would have expected at all. kumnio
Personas are usually a surprise. Michael Owen is seen as a good guy, but Ive been told, and read that he is a complete prck. Yet Robbie Savage is seen as a twat, but is apparently quite likable, same for Neil Lennon.

None of those are too surprising though I would say that Robbie Savage could still be a twat, but a likeable twat.

wanderer
Suspect he will be on either Chanel 5 or Sky within the next year (also think he will show up on Talksport at some stage in the not to distant future)..... interesting to see if May and Hammond will follow, or will he branch out and do his own thing (always suspected that he wanted to get back into chat show hosting again after his stint at trying it in the late 90's, but BBC were never prepared to give him that much freedom)

So expect the Jeremy Clackson Show to appear on Sky 1 some time in a few month? Thing is, though he comes across as a major twat on Top Gear and in the public eye, his tv special on the Merchant Navy getting supplies to the Soviet Union that he did last year was really good.... so when he does knuckle down, he can produce something really good... its just he would rather be doing the mad outspoken stuff he is best known for. Davied14
Popbitch were saying he shouldn't be too confident of getting a job with Sky because Keys & Grey's lawyers would be on the phone asking why punching a co-worker is less of an offence than saying something inappropriate to them. There's one significant difference. Keys and Gray were employees of SKY at the time of their indiscretion. Clarkson wasn't.

Yes but Sky would have said something along the lines of their behaviour not being what they would expect of an employee, so how could they then go and employ someone who has a history of inappropriate behaviour? Use a company not associated with sky to produce show.. so not employed by Sky..
Kenneth Farrington
I'm in no way into motors, but I watch Top Gear the odd time for the buffoonery. Can't say I either like or dislike Clarkson, but the reaction to his non-PC stuff is always comical. He's absolutely minted, will have his pick of where he ends up & Top Gear will end up losing the BBC millions - only one person laughing here.
