Scotty CTA
Sevco had 2 chances all game, and Aberdeen had one. Goodness knows what the result would have been (0-0?) if not for fatso playing an absolute off-the-ball blinder. And speaking of avoiding replies... On 8/7/2020 at 7:01 PM, Stu101 said: Good news. Lot of injuries? Just send some players out to get infected, and get games shifted. Lots of bottlenecks around December and January for various teams. Hopefully we take advantage of this. On 8/8/2020 at 8:26 PM, Scotty CTA said: It doesn't work like that, though. AFC didn't ask for the game to be postponed. If the game was a go we still would have fielded a strong team from our squad of 35 players. On 8/8/2020 at 9:08 PM, Scotty CTA said: Are you saying that a team can cause (NHS verified) positive Covid-19 tests to postpone a game (due to injuries) to their advantage? If so... How would that work? Would that area also coincidentally be in lockdown like Aberdeen is? Does the team then ask for volunteers to get infected, keep quiet, and go along with an insanely criminal plan? The precedent that they don't want set is for teams to get 3 points by default for positive Covid-19 tests in case it effects the craziness of the '10 in a row' standings. Can you imagine Rangers handing Celtic one or two 3-0 victories this season without a ball being kicked? (Or vice versa?) Believe me, they're not going to open that can of worms. Anyway, back to what happened... AFC didn't maneuver to get the game postponed, and I fully expect the players they have to defeat both Hamilton and St. Johnstone. EddardStark
I am quite happy for Morelos to stay. We actually need strength in depth up front. if we are to challenge, and its a big 'if'' whether Rangers win the league, a fit Morelos banging the goals in will see his market value increase. Fairbairn
Keeping a 30 goal striker for a title push isn’t the worst thing in the world. It does bring up questions as to how we’ll keep the lights on this season though.

Scotty CTA
You should listen to him. The season ticket money for this season has been earmarked to pay for last season. You get pennies on the pound in the Castore deal. And (by default) there'll be a lot of 'investment' on the bench till a "full committed" 'What's it all bout, Alfie?' gets punted. You made me think this was Castore and not the old Ashley deal; which I thought was only 5p in the £. What's the financials for the Castore deal? No, Sports Direct claimed that the new strips landed exclusively with them on August 1st. If that weren't true then Sevco would have their first easy win in court v MA. 5 hours ago, Redz said: Scotty, I don't know you however, you appear a genuinely good guy Give the Sevco pish a rest though please as, they know it, we know, every cunt knows it Its monotonous now, lets move on SF They don't. killiefaetheferry
Scotty is valuable contributor. He's posting his opinions and thoughts on the merchandising deal which is the thread topic. Ok he's not posting facts but at least he's keeping on topic.

I take it you know the ins and outs of every other clubs strip deals? Or is it only ever The Rangers? What kind of deal did st mirren get? The thread isn't about the St Mirren merchandising deal. The interest in the Castore/Sports Direct deal is due to all of the legal wrangling and court cases that have been flying around. That, and the latest conundrum that Scotty has reminded us all of, that Sports Direct issued a statement/advert via social media that claimed they had exclusive rights. Shortly afterwards, Rangers and Castore stopped selling the strips, but Big Mike's new shop continued. A few weeks later Castore and Rangers start selling again. If Sports Direct did not still have exclusivity then their claims would be legally actionable. Would Rangers miss such an opportunity? It smells like a deal was struck - inevitably putting more of the blue pound into Mr Ashley's already bulging big bag of blue pounds.
