Have a wee look at close brothers, hilarious that sevco have gone back cap in hand to these loan sharks. Whyte got lambasted for using them

This is a fair point. There's not going to be many takers and even if there are he'll be able to sell them on at a profit, probably. The worst outcome will be the cost of the brochure etc. which I'm sure somebody quoted as being 6 figures.
theweestevie
Didn't he win the appeal? I thought he appealled to have his company have to make the offering rather than him personally
phart
Lord Bannatyne held that Mr King's argument that he does not have the funds to make the offer was "irrelevant". The judge said: "When the respondent (Mr King) acting in concert bought shares in Rangers which took them over the 30% shareholding the respondent was aware that the purchase of such a shareholding would mean that a mandatory offer would be required." Mr King argued that he had no control over trusts which held assets for his family but the judge said that material from the panel showed he had effective control in respect of their affairs. The trusts had indicated they would not be willing to have their funds used for the share offer. Lord Carloway the judges would give written reasons for turning down the appeal as soon as they could. No written judgement as of yet.
Big Col
the shareholders opposed to King - the Easdales? the other mob, Blue Pitch? - are going to cash out here are they not? Selling their shares and doing the maximum damage to King? Kings plan is to dilute their shareholding is it not? So cash out now?
