slasher
Three things of note. Thanks to @Fairbairn for a good shout on Unbelievable...... it was excellent from start to finish. Finished season 2 of You and again not really sure where it can go from here, for the most part very watchable tho. Started watching Messiah (4 episodes) tonight on Netflix and found it a bit different and left wondering what next?
ErsatzThistle
9 hours ago, Ally Bongo said: The first two episodes of the BBC's Dracula were really good I particularly enjoyed the second which was set on the ship Demeter - normally the voyage from Varna to Whitby is skipped over in previous dramatisations And then they went and wasted it with the third episode What a damp squib Don't like how Mark Gatiss has pretty much monopolised the supernatural/occult drama's and documentaries on the BBC. He writes and directs almost all of them. It's as though only he is allowed to do them. Let someone else have a go.

I dont know whether he has monopolised it or such and a lot of it falls on Moffat too In fairness the first two episodes were excellent and Gatiss has done some great dark stuff with The League of Gentlemen It's as if they got carried away after realising how good they were early doors - a bit like Andy Roxburgh picking fanny face McInally over McCoist v Costa Rica

WCTA
Manhunt. I watched the three parter tonight about that horrible bastard Levi Bellfield. The guy responsible for the murders of a few lassies, Milly Dowler one of them. Martin Clunes plays the role of the Guv in the case. Really good I thought. They do touch on those bastards from the News Of The World in it. Albeit, not enough considering what went on with the phone tapping. The new Norwegian drama ‘Wisting’ is pretty good so far. .

TDYER63
Watched the first part of the disappearance of Margaret Fleming on BBC. Wtf. It was interesting , and ‘entertaining ‘ in parts. I will let you watch it before saying anymore, suffice to say the judge looked and sounded like Ricky Fulton.
TDYER63
Watched the second part last night. I am ashamed to say that despite it being such a sad , sad story I actually laughed out loud at some of it. The scottish accent really does add a different ‘dimension’ 🙄 to the usual murder programmes on TV and the fact we were seeing the real trial and not actors playing the parts made it quite intriguing. Some of the basic mistakes that were made, and how the prosecution witnesses were pulled up on cross examination, was unbelievable. Best not to read up on the investigation before watching it if you dont know the story.

The BBC played up a bit to the wig situation with the music they were playing, I could not stop laughing and felt guilty about it. One of the guys I work with was on the jury at a high court case last year and the defence lawyer ( wig guy) was the defence lawyer of the accused. He said he was brilliant at dismantling the prosecutions witnesses. The prosecution needed that letter from the hotel in this particular trial as , evidence wise, it was a pretty flimsy murder case up till then despite the 2 of them clearly being as guilty as fook. They are really are truly horrific people, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
