Norway V Spain

Craig Fae Hamilton

Norway v Spain, If it's not a Draw, who do we want to Win?

  1. 1. If you had to choose between Spain or Norway winning, which would it be?

    • Spain Win, Scotland will qualify and be in Pot 2 at the very best. Excluding Spain slipping up in their final fixtures. Which, they won't.
    • Norway Win, we only need a DRAW versus Georgia to automatically qualify. A Win and a Draw in our final 2 Games would mean we win the Group and be in Pot 1 or 2.

Time will tell if it's been rigged or not (I'm certain Thursday's game was) but thinking it might be isn't all that ridiculous.

Think about it, if you were a neutral who would you be more likely to tune in and watch on the telly or even buy a ticket to go and see play next summer, Erling Haaland or Lyndon Dykes?

The games will sell out and have huge viewing figures on TV whether Haaland is there or not.

When was the last time we were awaiting a (realistically likely) final result going our way? Probably there was a case wanting France to lose their last game in 2007 but I don't think anyoen expedted them to mess up.

And when was the last time we played in a game that decided someone else's qualification? Like that game against Bulgariea before Euro 88, that sent the Irish on theur way?

HT 0-0

Spanish performance so far is very reminiscent of the one they produced at Hampden back in June. All this possession and passes galore but hardly testing the GK. Their defence is shitting it every time Haaland has the ball and is facing goal side.

Will take this result but blimey it’s a tense watch at times.

If Morata left the ball it would've been an own goal. Ball was going in and Morata taps in from 2 yards.

Cos he knew it would then be disallowed, after all he has stated how he hopes Haaland is at the euros 🤔

Not interfering until he touched it. Prick.

He’s an absolute idiot when it comes to offside. He must get caught offside more than any other player in the game.

Why didn’t he just leave it? He’d rather nab the goal and risk it getting chopped off than his team going ahead by an OG.
