You have no understanding of the young Russian population - they know Putin is full of shit and it’s been 75 - yes 75 ! Years since Germany was ruled by Nazis.
and other idiots on here still saying that “Putin was poked” - my estimation of my fellow Scots is diminishing rapidly - we certainly don’t deserve independence if this board is anything to go by.
although how many are paid Russian agents? Or sheep of the paid shepherd?

and if you are real TA please stay away from the Ukraine game.

Ironically you are a great example of how Hilter succeeded in gaining the support he did.

In particular, @thplinth I presume you've read Craig Murray yesterday?

frankly astonished about the debate going on here.  This is what worries me about an independent scotland.  Lots of Russian sympathy going on.  So… I like the idea of independent scotland but would want a moderate wealth creating government, keeping a strong military capability (including nuclear weapons), fostering relationships and economic development with our western allies.

the amount of USA hating, commie chat on here is amazing.

I can’t believe the amount of sympathy for a dictator invading a sovereign nation.  Russia are the aggressors and hopefully they get what’s coming to them.

No one is sympathising with Putin here. Don't you remember those Iraqi weapons of mass destruction that could wipe out Cyprus in 20 minutes your elected leaders convinced you about? Well they lied to you. This unquestionable obedience to your leaders is scary just as Lamia referred to. Oh and Lamia I had a feeling you'd have to explain that comment to the Special guy 😂

no unquestionably obedience from me.  I’m all for liberties and freedom of speech. Looking at the facts, Ukraine a democracy has been invaded by an oppressor.

It think most people in Scotland probably recognise the bottom line in your later post ("Ukraine a democracy has been invaded by a oppressor") but there is plenty of room for scepticism or criticism about the handling of things by the West and/or what we should do about it.

I mean there was plenty of debate on Iraq, say, by people genuinely beliving they were on the side of "democracy/anti dictatorship" without that meaning that the level of debate should question the advisibility for a country to be independent.

You can have been totally against the Iraq invasion AND the Ukraine invasion. Not difficult - I certainly was.
cheers,

the Special One!

I also didn’t blame Saddam Hussein for “poking” the USA and goading them into a war, even although they actually did do that. No - all the responsibility for that debacle lied with Bush and to a lesser extent Blair.
So many of you are so tied up in knots with self righteous hatred for “the west” that you can’t admit that you are wrong, and Putin, the white Christian fascist that you all have pity for, is actually a monster on a parallel with Hitler and Stalin.

Well that wasn't very patriotic. You'll need to put yourself on one of your lists.

And Liz Truss saying she would support British volunteers doing so.

I dont think it can be stressed enough how dangerous it is having a fucking imbecile as Foreign Secretary in the time of war

Rory Stewart just said the opposite - not that i am in anyway a fan but at least he has some experience of conflict
