Sometimes you have to put up with the garbage for the greater good. If I'm right about the identity of SoS and I'm 99.99% certain that I am, then he is someone who is/was personally acquainted with thplinth and as such is probably worth paying attention to what he says about him - particularly when it relates to Russia. Furthermore, thplinth, knows exactly who he is and so all this "oh, I think it's this one or that one" is all deflection and straight out of his playbook.
