I was in Glasgow on Sunday. It was disappointingly quiet of protests and there were more police from the MET and Wales stoating about the city centre than people.

I did see around a dozen people dressed as zombies outside the MoMA though I don't know what their particular point was.

I also seen around 6 clergy folk sitting around a statue in George Square in quiet meditation, again didn't really know why.

Glasgow I got talking to two police from the Met. I asked them if stoating around a deserted glasgow is better than walking around London, one replied that it was as "people are talking to us and being friendly, no one in London speaks to us"

I also noticed that there were signs on lamp posts saying Glasgow, dear green place directly opposite piles of fuckin shit.

Don't know, maybe communists or something. Someone said they had also got kettled protesting the UK arms fair.

Didn't spend anytime looking into it.

The Young Communist League.  I think they're one of those groups (like the Green Brigade?) that are "known to the police" and would have been singled out for close attention.  I think they was friction with the police, about the way they were being handled, and eventually they were removed from the march. I read there was an arrest.  I think reason given was connected to something pyrotechnic (I assume this flare) and for not obeying instructions. The banner says Socialism or Extinction.

Don’t recall the Green Brigade murdering tens of millions of people but.

The Young Communist League. Wow might as well call yourself the Stalin Youth.

Never mind the police… anyone seeing these dicks should give them an utter kicking.

Never ceases to amaze me me how these cunts get a historical free pass for their genocides.

Why are the faces blurred in that photo. Don’t tell me it is to protect them.

Telling the truth, indeed, a complete embarrassment

Maybe she could tell all the wimen of the world to chuck on a few extra layers in the house instead of ramming up the heating,, for someone who doesn’t believe in the term woman or man,, she sure singles out men for her hatred

What an embarrassment, shes off her bloody rocket

Seems to me that what she said was a perfectly reasonable statement (especially in context) and it would probably be shared by almost any female politician in UK, barring a few Conservative Home or Ann Widdicombe types.

There is this book, I think it's this one, I've heard people say it made their blood boil - due to the injustice. (I'm talking about ordinary real people, not virtue signalling politicians.) I'd guess this kind of argument is the context for the seminar and statement.

But maybe this is going off topic, maybe should put it under "Good Reads"! 😉

I was going to say that it’s the messenger he has a problem with although I suspect he also has a big problem with the message as well.

To be fair, HL does make a good point about women putting on an extra layer. Me and the missus are engaged in a battle of wills for control over the thermostat. It's a fight i'm determined not to lose!

Kettling a bunch of bony-armed mummy's boys seems a bit of an over-reaction from plod (maybe they were doing it for their protection!).

Vandalised today by those Extinction Rebellion wankers.

I've no love of banks but there's something ridiculous about these people coming up from the south-east of England - where these fucking banks are headquartered - and causing a nuisance outside provincial call centres instead!  😂

Yes, she probably has a point there.  Women's voices should be heard in debate. Obviously that doesn't include transwomen as they are in fact men and should be accounted for as such. She should have made that clear...
