We need to beat Indonesia by more goals than Brazil win by. but we beat Brazil in the head to head... that's usually what counts. Yes but if we want to finish first we need Brazil to beat Czechs so we are all on 6 points - if we win our game. We then need to ensure we have the best GD. Czechs are on +3 whereas us and Brazil are on 0. Worth noting that by the time we play we will play we will know what we need to finish best 2nd. We need to see the result of the Wales and Ivory Coast result but it looks like a 2-0 win will see us through to the next round regardless of what happens elsewhere. PASTA Mick
Wales drew with Ivory Coast today. That means that 6 points will be enough for best 2nd place. If we win we will finish in 6 points. However, with 6 points we can finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd depending on the Brazil v Czech Rep result and then goal difference. I think that 2-0 will be enough for or least 2nd. A win tomorrow v Indonesia will see Scotland qualify unless Brazil win by 1 goal while scoring 4 or more (such as 4-3, 5-4, 6-5). If we win, we should go through but we will have to wait on the Brazil v Czech Rep result.

No offence ProudScot, but Zac Jules was hopeless against the Czechs, he probably was partly responsible for all three goals we lost . Without Jules at the back against Brazil we looked rock solid . Don't think Brazil created a single chance over the 80 minutes .
henry george
Finally got round to watching this today. Whilst it's no mean feat beating Brazil at any level we should bear in mind that this was Brazil's Under 18 team (no player born before 1999) so a sense of perspective is needed. Nevertheless all the players worked their socks off and whilst both full backs played well it was Burke, really, who was head and shoulders above anything else on the pitch. Certainly the right call to play him in this tournament.

He ticks the boxes for that league; tall, quick and good on the ball. Really? I thought he looked poor. Gave the ball away more than anyone else. And two of his mistakes led to Brazil opportunities. Sammut looked the much tidier player. Burke was head and shoulders above the rest. Sammut and Taylor behind him. The two centre backs did well after two early mistakes. Hopefully they go through so we see more of them all.

He may have made the odd mistake but he has potential to attract hefty fees if he develops into a player.
