Caledonian Craig
We put in a good performance tonight but lets be honest if we lose against Georgia we don't deserve to qualify. Two cracking goals tonight but in the end they count for nothing. Pluses were Forrest and Ritchie and Marshall. Also fighting spirit to haul ourselves back from a shocker of a start. Minuses our defending. Sliced open for first goal and too often for my liking and sat too deep at the end. The sickening end and result in Dublin. jock strap
That's no even funny Ally. I know what your saying but canna agree. I want to say roll on the next campaign but right now......I've nothing to offer.
Dejan1984
Strachan deserves more time and lets face it, who could replace him or even want to? Its a career ender of a job. Just the usual campaign from us really. Harsh luck, shite performances against shite teams, inspiring performances against good teams but ultimately fruitless. Seems to be something fundementally wrong with the scottish psyche on approaching a football match. We just can't seem to find that balance. With a little more time Strachan may just get us to where we need to be.
fanatyk
Now that is a decent post Sorry for being a wee bit nippy earlier, emotions take over. Still stand by wanting the Irish to beat you. No disrespect go to YBIG, check some stuff the`re just writing there about you and you will be rooting for us on Sunday

Caledonian Craig
Stick with Strachan but he desperately needs to formulate a Plan B. Just ask yourself who the replacement would be. Another Levein-esque choice knowing the SFA.

Kirk
Duno if folk watched a different game but as much as I hate James Forrest he had a decent game tonight and worked his arse off. Stevie fletcher pretty much won everything up front in the air etc butnhad noone running off him. IMO he had a pretty good game. Hanley also had a great game. We are done so now let's look at Sunday and play the fringe players and younger folk. Time to say bye to people like Darren Fletcher, Hutton, Whittaker and probably brown and start giving some younger guys a chance and build a team again. Stapes
Lying next to a pool in Orlando. Sun's beating down, having a wee beer, having just spent the day at Universal. Should be one of the best days of my year but I feel utterly empty. When I saw the score I felt bad, then I saw a late equaliser and I felt terrible, then I saw the Germany result. The Georgia result hurt us but Germany dropping points left, right and centre (except to us) was what really killed us. If they'd done what they usually do and swept through qualification, we'd still be in this.
jock strap
Forrest was one of our best players tonight - anyone that says otherwise know jack shit. Played no bad but like the rest, achieved nothing. If that is good enough for you, so be it. Team full of let downs. Desire, Passion, Dedication, Commitment, Country. Should be tattooed on them before they get to wear our shirt.
fanatyk
Krychowiak was probably their best player. Mączyński was immense, Lewandowski too and did the job and Krychowiak mentioned above. Oor best tonight closely followed by Pazdan and Glik.

Caledonian Craig
Do believe he fed Ritchie after good work down wing for equaliser. Considering he has been slated mercilessly I say he did better than icons like Brown and Fletcher. EddardStark
Worse than Belgium when we drew 2-2. Probably the most dejected I have felt watching Scotland. For most of the game our defence was very shaky. We lack the ability to pass a ball 10 yards and the big punt gives away possession immediately. Does anyone have the answer to the utter failure of the national team? I doubt it. There are a number of supporters who get too drunk to have any idea of what is going on on the park. When we fail they then just blame their usual scapegoats. I thought Fletcher player well- he put in loads of work, won a reasonable number of headers and even managed to win some defensive tackles. Forrest set up the goal and gave us an outlet for most of the game.
wanday
Ach, we leak awful goals at the wrong time, there does seem to be a lack of mental toughness. It's been there for years. We lose a goal with the last kick of the ball yet Ireland got points from a succession of last minute goals in this campaign. Either luck or determination not to lose. We should have got something in Germany but didn't. We were quite proud of the performance back then but critically got no points whilst our rivals did. Utterly awful goal to lose at the end tonight. Never felt as bad. Off to Faro with the whole family - not sure I want to go.
vanderark14
So the likes of fletcher and Forrest finally put in a half decent performance, where the was this performance in Georgia when they all shat it? It's always the same story Stage 1 -Get off to a promising start with decent performances Stage 2 - get a win against a rival and the hopes are raised Stage 3 - the players shit themselves against an Eastern European no mark team. Stage 4 - put in a spirited performance agains top seed to paper over cracks but ultimately it's not enough Stage 5 - another spirited performance but it's just not quite enough and we go out again.
