  1. No shame in that defeat but it`s hard to swallow anyway. It`s the best Polish team I`ve ever seen in my life and I`m not that young unfortunately
  2. I can understand the bitterness after failing to qualify but just to point out few points: -you scored us more goals in one game than we lost in whole Euros so far (4 games) -you were few second from beating Euro2016 quaterfinalist -you got 4 points out of 6 vs Ireland -bizzare performance in Tbilisi wa sa turning point- until then you were in competition with us, Germany and Ireland -not the best Germany form didn`t help you either -both games vs us i seen your team believieng in success and playing much better and more open football than Ireland for instance, really details decided the whole campaign Disapointing campaign but not reason to cross out your team. You have foundation to build on.
  3. You beat France on their turf no that long ago.
  4. France is really poor. It`s not easy to compete on this level with no playing competetive games for 2 years.
  5. But solid defence + counters can, however i have no expectation towards this scenario. Generaly keeping expectations low makes every win double the fun Our strikers are in poor form so far and despite that we are in quaters. But players like Milik or Lewandowski can turn up any time realy so even that we are not favourites for semis we are surely capable to get there.

    Ireland

I`m afraid street parties in Moscow will be much more likely orchestrated by local lads (and on their terms) than fans from around the world. But there will be a lot of spirits inbetween for sure.
  7. I`m pleased with the fact that despite our stars not playing well so far we got 7 points and conceded no goal which is not so typical for our defence Switzerland for sure not the worst outcome but hard game anyway. But every game would be. Roll on knockout stages.
  8. Sure he has. An with the goal now it looks a bit better. Błaszczykowski came on the pitch and made a difference.
  9. Nawałka put some players from deep reserves on the pitch and we (suprise suprise!) play crap.
  10. German team will have to earn a good press back home after "not spectacular" achievements so far. Can`t see a better occasion to do that that thrashing NI. I think NI will be happy if it will stop at 3 goals deficit after all. Let`s not forget Germany is a tournament team- further the better.
  11. that penalty wa a pure robbery equaliser now though! Great! Hajra Magyarorszag!
  12. "Polska Bialo-Czerwoni!" (Poland White and Red) or more like "Poooolskaaa Bialoooo Czerwoooniiii!)
  13. The guy in Poland have just put 95 000 PLN on solo bet for our win vs Germany His possible win would be 448 000 after tax. Some people have no idea how to spend money wisely apparently he he
  14. kilt+Scotland top+Poland scarf would by my choice of clothing for that occasion if i was you
  15. Phew, that was easy Scotland miles ahaed of NI in every department BTW. Shows you the importance of the qualifying group you are drawn into. BOOM BOOM we got 3 points
  16. Quality of Scottish game improved under Strachan significantly IMO (much nicer to watch than Ireland for sure) but you were lacking a bit of luck and some of the players failed to be clinical in few crucial moments- in attack and defence (and Ireland was better in that department). That is something Strachan can and should improve, maybe with some new faces and bit of a break from competitive intl games.
  17. I think fanzones might be organised at least for the largest cities so Gdańsk quite possible. Warsaw will have one for sure on Plac Defilad (if someone`s interested) other places TBC.
  18. From the airport you take express bus L which takes you to main railway station (20-30 mins depends on traffic) There is interesting war site from British perspective- British Commonwealth Cemetery on Cytadela Poznańska https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Park_Cytadela Also fortifications are wort a look if you are into post-war stuff. It`s hard not to find something war-related anywhere in Poland. You will find a big monuments in city centre commemorating Powstanie Wielkopolskie (Greater Poland Uprising)-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Poland_Uprising_(1918%E2%80%9319) as well as Poznański Czerwiec 1956 (Poznań 1956 protest- first big uprising against communist rule after WW2)- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pozna%C5%84_1956_protests You can find lot of information relating tourism in Poznań (in english) here: http://www.poznan.pl/mim/turystyka/en/ Bus tours operates during the summer and you can take it one of the historic buses. It`s very cheap comparing to many city bus tours: there is 2015 PDF leaflet here:http://www.ztm.poznan.pl/assets/Konkurs/UlotkaautobusA4.pdf Regarding to restaurants: try some local cousine. Can`t remember any specific ones as my memory for such names is good but short, but Poznan`s cooking scene is one of the best in the country in my opinion. Can`t recall any bad meal i had while visiting. Old Town and surrounding areas is your spot. Also recomend Stary Browar- nice contemporary combination of art gallery and shopping mall, walking distance to Old Town
  19. It`s old Polish city. Before WW2 the capital of voivodship. In 1939 soviets invaded Poland and that was one of the first big cities they occupied and took over finally. After Soviet Union collapse it became part of Ukraine. Soviets and Ukrainians put a lot of effort to get rid of any signs of Polish history there but even now wandering about Tarnopol streets you can see old sewer lids with "Kanalizacja Miasta Tarnopola" on it. Probably too expenive to change just for the sake of its new "identity". Charmful place at the moment but obviously neglected (like many places afected by soviet and post soviet era). Remember few good eateries and one realy good cafe on main promenade- with charecteristic dark green leather upholstery- can`t remember name and have no idea if it still exists (that was few years ago). Remember even in better hotels you couldn`t get warm water throughout the day, just at some specific hours. Hopefuly they sorted it out by now. Good food (can be too fatty though) and cheap, especially for UK standards. Enjoy.
  20. "And yet his success went largely unnoticed in his homeland" http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/big-interview-well-travelled-scots-7500844#3uqApApE2VuhlDqk.97
  21. you`ll get an email (most likely tomorrow) with the summary of your application.Checking the total amount of money in your application and comparing it with 185GBP actual charge will give you at least an idea of how many tickets you`ll get. Will be harder to asses if you allowed to be charged for higher category tickets of course.
