Caledonian Craig
No way will Hutton and Robertson start at full-back. Strachan is very-guarded about this fixture and playing two attacking full-backs is a far from guarded way to go. I can't see Strachan ever going down that route if I am honest. LewisEDI
No way will Hutton and Robertson start at full-back. I doubt it as well, as long as one of the fullbacks isnt forsyth then im not fussed anyway. Edited August 26, 2015 by LewisEDI
LewisEDI
then play Ritchie this is too big a game for the ritchie experiement to be continued, he has had 2 competitive international games and been woeful in them both. back to friendlies and sub appearances if he has to be involved please

Ireland granted he was like a rabbit caught in headlights, but think you are being a bit harsh on his Gibraltar performance.... he was hooked at half time not due to performance (which was actually ok) but tactical because Strachan had messed up that day by having us far to light at the back with his master plan to try get Ritchie, Anya, Maloney and Nasimith all playing together. Strong Like Ox
It might have been mentioned elsewhere, but I'd imagine Naismith will get a start v Barnsley in the cup tonight (televised btw). 90+ mins and some goals/assists would be lovely. ParisInAKilt
Be surprised if Forsyth plays again. Whittaker played away in Poland and had started the season well so think he'll play, probably at left back with Hutton on the right. Ideally I'd play Whittaker and Robertson
Shed_Tartan_Army_Yeah
Depending on everyone staying and being match fit I would go with this for Georgia: Gordon Hutton/Whittaker Hanley Martin Robertson/ Whittaker Brown Morrison Anya Naismith Maloney S. Fletcher then swap the Fletchers around for Germany game.
WeeJohnny
First visit here and firat post after reading the banter ! Isn't it great that after so long we've a problem of which quality players to pick ! Think the last few squad suggestions will be close. But wee gord will be thinking of two teams already. One vs Georgia and then different vs Germany. Noticed in all these pages no one has mentioned one squad player in a good or bad way. James McArthur. As someone here said WGS usually throws in a wild card and he might play in one of the games.
Felix_Santos
If we don't beat Georgia, we won't qualify, simple as that. And to be honest, if we don't beat Georgia, I doubt we'll even manage a play off.
1ANDYP
Will be almost same team in both games. I am starting to worry people are underestimating Georgia
Tartan_Wolf
I doubt there is much room to underestimate a team ranked 154 in the world. Probably over estimating our ability to break them down after our less then emphatic victory at home. But I think as fans we should be expecting a victory and would require a serious dip in our performance to be defeated.
Kirk
Will be almost same team in both games. I am starting to worry people are underestimating Georgia I dont think they are as bad as some think, but we should be going there for 3 points without a doubt, and the team need to go out and play positive football. Kirk
They're defence while good isn't as good as it was, midfield is quality and gotze isn't really an out and out forward. Still a very good squad though.
Bannannan
New and weaker defence, bring it on.
kmcca5
Berra ruled out for a month. Oh Dear, probably wouldn't have started anyway, With Mulgrew off form it could be a concern at center back if we pick up any knocks.
JagDude
Too often we hear that it's not the end of the world not getting a result, so it's good to hear McCall today stating that this is a must win game. A real statement of intent.
TartanDave
Of course Germanys squad is very strong and probably every one of their players would get into ours, but I would fancy Anya's pace against Rudy or Boateng at right back. I will confess to having never seen Hector the left back play. We sure he doesn't have scottish links?
tartanlad
It is the World Champions of course there squad will be strong. Edited August 28, 2015 by tartanlad
macy37
The game v Germany is a write off. They'll beat us by at least 2 clear goals. Georgia is the game we must not drop points in.
