DoonTheSlope
Rangers home and keeper tops, won't be buying one right enough Any idea why you rarely see white goalie tops?? I think goalie tops should be like the 1990s, just pure bogging colour contrasts with stupid shapes and that. Back then the keeper tops were always padded aswell

I think goalie tops should be like the 1990s, just pure bogging colour contrasts with stupid shapes and that. Back then the keeper tops were always padded aswell I'd guess they're rarely white, as the keepers dive about a lot, and they'd get bogging? My favourite goaly top.... Rossy
Any idea why you rarely see white goalie tops?? I remember some kind of FA cup semi final replay in the 70's.....think it was Leicester v Liverpool....where Peter Shilton wore an all-white kit. Top, shorts, socks, the lot. Liverpool won, and afterwards some of the Liverpool players said that it helped them to pick out angles or whatever when they could see this all-white kit under the lights. Not sure if that's true or not, but Shilton never wore a white keepers top again.
wanderer
Any idea why you rarely see white goalie tops?? Probably because keepers are expected to be jumping about and diving for saves, so their shirts would not stay white for long....
Stewart_Aberdeen
Aberdeen sell a white keeper top but it's never been used as far as I can remember.
EddardStark
Love our away top. Might get someone to knit me one. I am certain Allan MacGregor wore a white top for Rangers quite a few times Edited May 3, 2015 by EddardStark
