PASTA Mick
No he wasn't. You're on your own with this one. Every report I've read has singled him out for praise. Charlton fans love him already.

andymac
A few weeks ago when it looked as though he was going to West Ham, there were more than a few brain-dead Hammers fans on Twitter and their club forums moaning about signing Fletcher, saying he was a rubbish player and finished anyway. Stupid cockney cants. Glad West Brom thumped them in the cup, just a pity Fletch was cup tied. It would have been good for him to rub their faces in it. And they were right when pointing out that we was worse than the current midfield, except Fat Sam's mate Nolan. I suspect that he would have been warming the bench at best. Just because he is Scottish doesn't make him automatically better than anyone else. As for the FA cup, Fat Sam's bonus is based on league position I believe, I would never suggest that he is money motivated, so sir.

Caledonian Craig
Far too soon to be talking about Watt just yet for Scotland. If he is still putting in strong displays by this time next year and maybe moved on to a higher level then it is time to consider him. Great to see him doing well though. JECK
Always thought Gallagher was going to be on a par with fletch and McFadden for us when he came through at Blackburn all those years ago. Seems to have been stuck in the championship forever. Ship definitely sailed along time ago sadly.
ErsatzThistle
Dougie Freedman was praising young Oliver Burke in a Nottingham chip wrapper today. Has he actually played for us at any level yet or just switched to Scotland on paper at least ? A quick Google shows he played for England at Under 16 level in 2012. Toepoke
S Fletcher taking a beating on the Sunderland forum. IMO they have a point or 2 He just cannae score goals! Reminds me of the recently mentioned Brian McClair, an intelligent player with great technique but poor instinct in the box...
girvanTA
they're saying hes slow, looks uninterested and simply cant score. A good few of them would happily drive him to a new club
LewisEDI
he has a record of about 1 in 3 for sunderland which isnt actually that bad for a lower premiership team striker, he has never been a prolific striker, people have to accept he isnt a natural goal scorer and appreciate his other qualities
Bannannan
To be fair his missed chance was a definite penalty.

hunchy
I think Fletch is the type of forward that needs a goal scorer beside him. He is great at getting into positions and creating space but isn't the best at finding the net. Stick someone like Rhodes with him and I think they would score bucket loads
Bannannan
Rhodes not starting.
