PASTA Mick
Well, I got the bit that Inter are howling correct. But Craig Gordon chooses tonight of all nights to......... Great game to watch though. Celtic can win this tie. No team with Shaqiri is howling. He's a terrific player and has turned Inter into a much better team. I think we need to score first over there to have a chance.
Robroysboy
Craig Gordon, played much better in the second half. A couple of mistakes in the first but mistakes can be costly for keepers. He also pulled of a good save in the dying seconds of the match, so redeemed himself slightly. Kirk
Interesting to hear praise for Bitton anytime I've seen him he has looked pretty poor and just not up to scratch. Good to hear the new boys getting praise too. Hope Gordon can bounce back from his mistakes.

Celtic should have self belef in this tie - Inter are junk.
sbcmfc
The celebrations at the end may prove to be a bit embarrassing in a weeks time, possibly even be used as motivation for the inter players? Understandable in the circumstances, at the end of a really entertaining game, but when the celtic fans come down off tonight's high, it's only half time and celtic need to win over there which will be very tough, although not impossible based on what we saw tonight. Celtic sre good enough to beat the current Inter team. What shocked me tonight was that Celtic lost three goals to them given their defensive efficiency so far this year. Fred_Zeppelin
Just in from the game and read this thread, it was nearly as entertaining as the game. 2nd leg is now a straight cup tie for us, no dicking about with away goals, we need to win on the night, I think that will suit us. Armstrong possible, Biton I am afraid I just don't see. What I would say is that when we step up a level Broony has the game passing him by at times. Great game but I still fear a 3-0 pasting next week. Our European Away form is bad and has been for years and years.

neilly71
Great stuff last night, so glad I took both the weans who loved it (apart from Efe Ambrose's cameo clown feet appearance)
PASTA Mick
Great stuff last night, so glad I took both the weans who loved it (apart from Efe Ambrose's cameo clown feet appearance) I've never seen a reaction to a substitute like I did last night. I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for Ambrose.
Squirrelhumper
First time there's been any singing at Celtic Park since it was ParkRed. Derek Rae still talking shite about 'the atmosphere', ignoring that it's a complete morgue week in week out. Whilst it's not as busy as years gone by, can only assume you've not been to watch your side at Parkhead recently. For all the green brigade are wanks, the pricks don't shut up! At U Peter
It's worth noting that, as well as his two howlers, Craig Gordon pulled off 2/3 quality saves. Edited February 20, 2015 by At U Peter
Flure
Two-thirds of a quality save IS a howler, is it not?
wembley67lisbon
It's worth noting that, as well as his two howlers, Craig Gordon pulled off 2/3 quality saves. Aye he was back to his best in second half. That was arguably the most pressure he has been under for years in that first half so was understandably shaky. Will come out of it well I bet. Biton and Johansen are top drawer in the midfield. fingers crossed delia can build a side like o'neill, strachan and lennon all did.

northernscum
Gordon's save at the end was just as important as another Celtic goal would have been, a lot of keepers would have got nowhere near that ball.
