hadn't seen that poll, apart from on here.  Good to see.  remarkably, I dont think support for Indy is really the main problem right enough.  You somewhat hope the more people see of Labour less they like.  still a tough challenge.

When I read it on here I googled it just to get more info. The only articles that came up were in The National, which is behind a paywall , and unsurprisingly, that Daily Express , again . Strangely enough this must not  have been in Malcom’s edition….

The message needs to get through up here that Labour are simply no different to the Tories. Wedded to a hard Brext, just as aggressive on immigration, a reminder that the fat slug in Jackie Baillie voted against free school meals, Liz Kendall saying the Tories aren't going far enough on benefits crackdown. Not to mention the true socialists in the Labour Party have long since been purged.

Once election campaigning starts in earnest next year these facts should become more apparent to voters.

10 point lead which would equate to 44 seats and a Toaly wipe out

54% for Yes

Ipsos STV news

If there was an election tomorrow, I believe it would be a 5 point lead. The snp would get a thumping no question about it, I do however think we would gain support right back with a quick change back to old school snp policies

Tories pushing through legislation to enforce school teachers to go into schools and keep them open even when they've voted to strike. It will be followed by other legislation undermining the right to strike by insisting on minimum levels of service. Labour? As far as I can tell, not a squeak.

🤣 wow really proactive, send out a tweet that you had a meeting, a meeting about what exactly? Seems to me that he has accepted the place will close and that’s it, no fight to keep it open,,

I don't know about you but I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Marmalade is on the case. Three cheers for Aaid and his superfast Twitter searching skills!  👏

The Grangemouth site will be turned into Europe's largest Chinese restaurant - somewhere once responsible for handling crude oil being ideal for developing that unctuous glow given off by sweet and sour sauce - and probably student accommodation too.

Jackie Baillie is like some character out of a 1970s Dr Who episode. A genuinely vile woman.

Voted against free school meals yet some areas of her Dumbarton constituency are some of the most deprived in Scotland.

Utterly despicable human being. Unreal she got back in but that will have been the tactical voting of the staunch mob

Agreed about the need for policy changes, but the SNP need to start campaigning now.  Labour are there for the taking with their policies.  No matter how Sarwar tries to differentiate "Scottish" Labour, in a UK general election he can't be allowed to get away with that.  He is by definition pro-brexit, anti Scottish democracy whether he wants to be or not cos that's what London Labour dictates.  Any half decent SNP leader would be ramming that home daily, but Yousaf seems more interested in making ultimately pointless gestures about Middle East politics - virtue signalling like his old boss.  Trouble is he's not really a leader.

Dumbarton is a weird place politically. Historically Labour got in because of all the shipyards and whisky industry. More recently alot of families linked to fastlane stay there.

It used to be that voting would be split by where you stayed in Dumbarton. Ive never met 1 person who has a good word to say about Bailley though and yet she gets in on the stregnth of her party.

Of course you miss the point that under AMS, if Jackie Baillie were to lose her constituency seat, she’d simply be replaced by the number Labour person on the West of Scotland, one Jackie Baillie.  The same as Anas Sarwar in Glasgow.

I know I shouldn't "body shame" - but - there's something so unedifying about a big, fat, smug, plummy-voiced person like her voting against weans being fed. It's like something from the 18th century!

This is the same pish that you were spreading during the leadership election.  I also think that was supposed to have happened long before COVID which makes it double pish.

I read that ‘news’ yesterday. Might be true , might not, but it seems just a little too convenient immediately after the scathing UK government covid report.
It may be the case the union are starting to over play their hand. It would seem for every uk government scandal they need to find an equally bad SNP story.

Funny that it comes out on the day that Matt Hancock gave evidence to the UK COVID inquiry.

I think we are all aware of who it is being rumoured that the two parliamentarians are who were involved in this alleged dalliance.it is the covid bit that is the problem. very serious if true and a resignation matter.
