Tories bragging and proclaiming how the UK was world leading. Since then they've opened coal mines, gas fields, jailed environmental protestors (3 years in jail for disruption of the Dartford Crossing!), opposed LEZs, scrapped the Home Energy Efficiency taskforce, savaged deposit return schemes. Utter hypocrites! They'll justify it by saying they can't do it because of the cost of living crisis. Which they've largely caused, not just through the economic disaster of Truss etc but decades of largely unbroken Tory rule that has made the rich so much richer and left many more struggling to keep their heads above water.
