They would've likely ended up playing Sunday league.

The_Dark_Knight
Height is irrelevant. It's football, not basketball. "If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there" ~ Brian Clough

I don't think most people care, either, to be honest. We need to put more stock in technique and skill rather than feet and inches.
bazmidd
Why not flip this a little and outwith our Goalkeepers who is actually our best 11 players irrelevant of positions?

He does need to fill out a bit which will come with time.
0Neils40yarder
In a years time I'd like to see us play a team of; Liam Kelly Soutar McKenna Tierney McTominay Fraser Gilmour. McGinn Robertson Turnbull McBurnie Looks like a very decent starting 11 to me...if Liam Kelly can push on at QPR, if McKenna and Soutar get back to form after injury, if Tierney can push his way into the Arsenal side, if Turnbull can get over his injury. I'd be delighted with that. Only thing that I'm not sure about is Turnbull. No one knows when he'll be back, or when he does, he'll still be as good. Only time will tell. I'd also swap McBurnie for Hornby. When I look at McBurnie, he looks like an archetypal privileged footballer, but Hornby looks the type of lad who would stick his head into a football-boot if it meant that he'd score a goal. 0Neils40yarder
Turnbull will be back around January time I believe, if he can re-capture the form he had prior to his injury then he'd be a great choice for Scotland. Hornby v McBurnie? I take your point, but we'll see what the next year brings

This would be fine with different personnel. Fraser, for me, would be a liability in a wing back positionfir Scotland. I’d sooner have Armstrong there who is more competitive and durable with similar pace. I’d still like Fraser in the team (provided he is on form) which makes the formation problematic.
