Sad one.

One of my favourites.

Saw him tour solo and of course with Buzzcocks.

So many to choose from...

In tribute...

Aye, sad to see him gone.

First saw Buzzcocks at an Anti-Nazi League rally in Manchester in '77. Next around '79 at a club in Sheffield and Joy Division were the support. Last saw 'em maybe 15 years back. Pete had put on the pounds - enjoying himself, I hope. Loads of good memories with Pete Shelley connections.

Early Buzzcocks using a riff that I guess had been left them by Howard Devoto - he used it again with Magazine's 'Shot By Both Sides':

Pete solo - colliding with early '80s sequencing; still toe-tapping though:

You have to first click on (and eliminate) the wee 'X' in the bottom right hand corner of your screen (by the scroll bar).

His '76 electronic/synth recordings Cinema Music & Wallpaper Sounds is superb. It finally got a release couple of years ago.

I used to be able to, but then had to figure out why it wasn't letting me.

(Your 'X' must have already been disabled.)

He played this song first and (then again) last in Toronto when he toured solo.

Someone in the crowd yelled out (between songs) "Are you a homosexual?"

And he answered "Yes... I'm in love with myself."

There's no need to get offensive about my former wife. Are you trying to provoke another TAMB suicide note?;)

Still got the 12 inch single of this in my loft somewhere.

Brilliant song. Brave at the time too.

Apologies.

The very same (though I don't remember the set). I remember Skunk Anansie and Super Furry Animals,... and some forgettable Britpop, which I forgot
