EddardStark
From covering their game at home to Derby tonight. Chairman citing the amount of their home games being covered by Sky is having a negative impact on crowds and also on the team.
morrie21
The price of selling out to the TV Giants i'm afraid. I'm sure he likes their money appearing on the credit side of the club bank statement every month so he has no say in when, where and who they play in a live TV slot

ShedTA
Surely they will be fined by the league then? Part of overall league rules isn't it?
Huddersfield
When our game with Leeds last year had its KO time changed to midday (by the Police) when Sky had it scheduled to be an evening KO, we were threatened with a points deduction for failing to meet the contract requirement so it will be interesting to see if Leeds are warned/bullied in the same way. I would have a lot of sympathy for Cellino if this was about altering KO times & supporter inconvenience, but his view seems to be that "bigger" teams should get a bigger share of TV money because they suffer disproportionately from being televised. Jersey Jim
Is this for definite? Backed a Man City, Derby double tonight, only done it because both games were on live. Still listed on Sky Sports 1 at 19.

HIGHTOWER 1314
Maybe if he his team started winning games the fans would come back as it is they are one of the best supported teams in the league. They have started to pick up points since evans went there but not enough wins yet. ByronLoon1986
Good on them standing up for there fans. Nae chance of that happening in Scottish football! Feel sorry for Celtic fans! Honestly... how much Saturday 3 oclock games do they have in a season?? Scotland aswell this Thurs, Fri, Sun, Mon night games at Hampden is pish and the crowds are only going to continue to drop! Football's not for the fans anymore
Donaldo87
Aye all good and well trying to stand up for the fans but at the same time they charge a fiver ontop of tickets automatically to use for food or something like that

Football's not for the fans anymore A nonsense argument imo. Dunno what the split is now but Rangers and Celtic are/were very well rewarded for playing games at ridiculous times, which all has a knock on effect to continued success, that the fans lap up. Fans could do something about it if they REALLY wanted and voted with their feet. They won't though.

Huddersfield
so he doesn't think it has anything to do with charging £38 for a cat A game which this one was and that is if you book in advance £42 on the day Plus as others have said scams like planning to charge for food on the match ticket. This battle isn't really about being pro-fan because his track record shows he exploits Leeds fans at every verse end. He just wants Leeds to get a bigger chunk of Sky money at the expense of anyone else. I'd honestly back the guy to the hilt regardless of it being Leeds if he just wanted to bring Sky down to size but bet your bottom dollar he'd kick off at 3am if the price was right. I haven't been to our away game at Elland Rd. for the last 2 seasons because of the ridiculous prices & won't go this year either.
macy37
I'm going tomorrow. Love a day out at Elland Road. Always good atmosphere. £25 for my ticket in the East Stand is good value especially when you compare it to the prices in Scotland... Shows you how these figures can be warped, as the price is quoted as £42 about 3 posts earlier.
