  1. Hi I have one away end ticket for sale. Section 123. Face value. If anyone is interested.
  2. We are staying in madrid on the Wednesday. Some hotel called 8 rooms. It's meant to be close to the train station. We are on the 11-10 train on Thursday morning. It was earlier but has been put back 20mins. I can't wait. I'm 62 and it's my first trip to watch Scotland abroad.
  3. Try looking at the away games thread
  4. We are Scotland and so are the Lassies. Its the only name we need
  5. I don't think what's happening with the Saudis is too much to worry about. If all these players had gone to the Spanish or Italian league most folk wouldn't have batted an eyelid. In Scotland the gripe was always that Celtic and Rangers were hoovering up all the young talent stifling the opportunity for the rest of the club's to grow. Now Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs have started blood some young guys and sell them on and hopefully get a sizeable add on bonus. Quite a few of Europe's League's Portugal, belgium, Spain and France have benefited from signing young talent from South America and Africa. The time to worry is if the Saudi's start recruiting the young talent before it gets to Europe. Every club outwith the elite hope to find a young talent and sell them on. It could be beneficial for scottish football really. If say a club in Scotland has a talented young right back and an English or Italian club comes in and signs him for decent money and then flogs their 28 year old right back to a Saudi club for big money what is wrong with that. The hard bit is hoping the Scottish club chairmen don't undersell the talent.
  6. Alex Jones off the one show. Her voice goes through me. Kevin mcleod used to be OK but the more popular the show got the bigger his head got.
  7. Anderson should be asked to join the squad get together in Spain prior to the games in June. If he doesn't want to go then forget about him. If he accepts then he might get the feeling of being part of something special and nail his colour's to our mast.
  8. I have always loved sport. I have had a go at Football, Rugby League and Cricket and I loved playing them all. Unfortunately I was absolutely shite at each and every one. In fact the only thing I have ever been good at was Hurling. And that was Hurling abuse.
  9. John McGovern Ken McNaught Alan Evans Two never capped and the other only 4 I think. Maybe they just peaked at the wrong time but all three were English first division and European cup winners. If only we had guys like them now.
  10. I was thinking the same on Wednesday. When Austin Macfee came in our set pieces improved so well done A Mac. But surely defending set pieces should be part of his remit. Unfortunately for us our defenders are better known for how they bring the ball out of defence than actually defending. All our game plan seems to be about when we have the ball so when we come up against teams who are good at closing down we are stumped. All three of Ireland's goals were down to poor defending two individual and one as a team. It is obvious that there is something missing in the squad whatever it is it needs to be forgotten for now. The next couple of days is where the coaching staff must earn there corn. If any of the team are either physically or mentally fatigued they need dropped. We need 11 fit hungry players who are willing to burst a gut for 90 minutes. It doesn't matter what team or what division they play in. They are all full time professionals so should be fit and skilled enough to take on Armenia. A win on Tuesday and then come September they can come back fully fit and recharged and show the Irish that yesterday's result was a fluke.
  11. I got the bus up last week. There was a bit of a queue this was more down to folk paying and tossers just going straight to the front when a bus pulled up. They filled one and off it went then another came down. It didn't take long to get to Hampden and there were plenty buses waiting after the game. I haven't seen anything about today's game though. I have emailed first Glasgow but haven't heard from them as yet.
  12. Thanks for that. I had tried a couple of times but got nowhere. I tried just now it it has worked. Whether I get a refund is another story.
  13. Hi guys. Has anyone ever dealt with Trainline regarding refunds for cancelled train. I am not really Tec savvy so I am not sure whether I am not doing the process correct or if they are just making it too complicated so you give up. Any help will be very welcome. Thanks in advance. Ian
  14. I can't see it being the fifth it would screw up all the nations league games in June. Armenia on the 4th would be off. Ukraine to accommodate the final which would presumably be on the 8th or 9th. Ireland away is meant to be the 11th so that would have to be pushed back and also Armenia away. It should be played on the 4th with the final on the 7th. The two postponed games can be fitted in in September/ October.
  15. I don't understand why the SFA are so quiet on this . If Ukraine ask for a postponement simply agree. It is a bit late but we could ask Armenia if they want to bring forward the Nation's league game. Anyone who has booked travel and accommodation won't have it wasted.
  16. I have just watched Utopia on Amazon prime. I though squid games was crackers but this is up there with it.
  17. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid some dog owners are. I live just across the road from a public park and I used to take my two Patterdale Terriers over every day. Now they are only little dogs but can be a bit feisty little buggers especially if the other dog is smaller. One of them was trained to go ratting so anything smaller than him was fair game. There lies the problem the amount of folk who have their fluffy little pooch running about yapping and they seem to gravitate towards me and my two would go mental and the owners will shout it's ok it won't bite to which I reply but mine will. Small as they are it's quite difficult to hold two Terriers when they get a sniff. I was once in Whitby and we were walking on the beech to sandsend (about 2miles )when we were approaching sandsend I called the dogs as they aren't allowed on the end section. One came back but the other just carried on chasing the birds anyway this women sat on a bench starts shouting at me I went over and she said can't you read pointing to a sign no dogs. I said I can but the dog can't. You might think I was irresponsible but Whitby is very dog friendly and dogs are allowed on the whole beech at certain times of the year.
  18. To be honest the only changes we make are ones we would have to anyway. Bradford to Manchester then Manchester to Edinburgh then Edinburgh to Dunfermline. The only odd one is we travel from Manchester Oxford road.
  19. As long as they exist that will do me. Most of the review complaints seem to be about refunds. As long as my tickets are valid. Thanks Taylor1996
  20. Hi I have just booked some tickets with Raileasy and I was wondering if anyone has used them before. I have never come across them so I am now thinking are they legitimate. They were cheap so just went for it but now I'm thinking have I been ripped. Ian
  21. I got the usual for Christmas but a surprise for my birthday (Christmas Eve) I got a 1990 retro shirt from my daughter and her man who is an Aston Villa fan. Somehow he had got John Mcginn to sign it they also got him to give me a personal birthday message on video. So I was pretty made up with that. On that note there is a video of John Mcginn doing the bingo calling to kids in hospital which is quite amusing. Sorry I don't know how to do link's.
  22. Here in Bradford we have them 52 weeks of the year so I am for banning them. I have never really understood the fascination with them a complete waste of money.
  23. Just had a word with a Leeds supporting mate of mine. He said he had a couple of games a couple of years ago and it was expected he would be on the bench the second half of this season as he was playing well for the under 23s and banging the goals in and he is a big unit.
  24. My partner is working from home. She is doing about 15 hours a week more than she would in the office. She has been told that they won't be back in the office before Christmas. They are looking at keeping some permanently WFH and some three days at home and two days in the office. She is not really keen on WFH (I think she misses the gossip) but she accepts that's the way it might be. One of the problems we have is space we don't have a spare room that we could convert into an office space so she is working on the dining table which isn't ideal. About the opening question. I have told Rosemary for a few years now that her employer (Yorkshire water) would eventually move everyone to other sites and sell the main one here in Bradford for housing.
